Students Save Money Cost of MyMathLab Access Code Winter Quarter 2017 was

$113.60. This doesn’t include hardcopy of textbook, only access to online website and textbook.

Accessibility MyMathLab is not accessible, and I’m unable to modify

online website and instructional materials to make accessible.

Closer Alignment with Learning Objectives Instructional Materials could be selected from multiple

OER’s allowing instructors to select best alignment with learning objectives

Multiple Representations Instead of relying on static textbook, instructional materials

could be chosen from text, audio, and video

Collaboration Opportunities to develop with team of instructors cold

promote sharing and collaboration

+Major Challenges for me to Implement Quality Assurance

Need instructional materials and an online homework site for math. Some homework problem databases have errors.

Accessibility Team up with DSS to fully investigate accessibility of an

online homework site.

Time Not enough time to check quality of homework problem

database, and modify to make accessible.

Finding OER’s This workshop provided great tips and resources for finding

OER’s, but they are still challenging to find.

Sustainability Will online homework site and instructional materials be

available and maintained over time, or will search process need to be repeated frequently?

Unable to ignore major benefits for my students, money & accessibility

Want to devote time to doing this Start with colleges that have adopted OER’s for math

courses to narrow down possibilities I’m excited to do this!
