The garment manufacturer, belonging to the Roshawa Group of Dhaka, is among the leading exporters in the Bangladesh textile industry. The Roshawa facility is located in Dhaka, the country’s capital.
With Bangladesh’s focus on the expansion of the natural gas network, gas engine applications for on-site power generation are becoming an increasingly feasible and economic option.
Commissioned in June 2003, the Jenbacher generator sets meet the customer’s need for an independent, reliable power source for spinning operations. The customer selected GE’s Jenbacher type 3 engines due to their long service intervals, maintenance-friendly design, and low fuel consumption. The type 3 stands out in the 600 to 1,100 kW power range due to its technical maturity and high degree of reliability.
