introductionw e are excited to present our full feature movie "Jellyfish

in the Moon". We have always been a team, interested in producing content that has a high production value and is able to earn the appreciation from wide range of au-diences. And that is exactly what we are aiming for with

"Jellyfish in the Moon".

We have been working on this project for a year and now, having the 5th draft of the script in our hands and strong international co-producers by our side, we strongly be-lieve, that it has all what it takes to be a winner. Sensitive social issues wrapped in the form of the fairy-tale story, extraordinary characters revealing themselves through a challenges of destiny, drama of self-sacrifice and all the other elements of the story are worth spreading, possi-ble to produce within a reasonable budget and universal

enough to touch viewers around the globe.

We are not only looking forward to bringing this unique story to life, but we are also looking for companions – per-fectionists willing to create projects with enduring value.

Any kind of partnership that could make the projectbetter is more than open to be discussed.

CIRCUMSTANCES

Once upon a time a city Rightland existed. It was similar to all other cities around the world with only one exception. Only right handed people lived there.

There even was a rehabili-tation center for those who were not lucky enough and were born left handed. But then one day somebody noticed that people are tor-tured there. So, the clinic was closed and left-hand-ers theatre “The Moon” was created in the very same

place.

But it takes more than one theatre to change the per-

ception of the whole city...

synopsis

Someday, somewhere is a city called Rightland that is predominant-ly populated by right-handed people. One building, amongst many wonders of the city, is to be singled-out: an exclusively left-handed

people’s theatre called “The Moon”.

Veronica, a selfish con artist, arrives to the city while searching for a hid-ing place from vicious man, called Placido, whom she has swindled. While settling in Rightland, she meets a mysterious Mr. Hades. He offers her a deal – he would give her the money if she would pretend to be a left-hander and infiltrate “The Moon”. Veronica agrees to take on a mission

that consists of finding the evidence to destroy the theatre.

After some lessons of how to use the left hand, Veronica knocks on the doors of “The Moon”. A young alluring David lets her in. Solomon, theatre director, wants Veronica to rehearse for the main part in the new play and pushes her to her limits. What was supposed to be an easy mission turns out to be a search for Veronica’s true iden-tity. Veronica tries to abandon Mr. Hades mission but is threatened by Placido who finds her in Rightland and asks for money that Veronica

owes him.

With time Veronica begins feeling her better self in “The Moon” and falls in love with David. Meanwhile Mr. Hades is changing his plans and now de-mands Veronica to bring him a left-handers glove. She accomplishes the task, takes her fee and flees the theatre. But on the way she discovers that David is accused of the murder of the right-hander, the evidence being a

glove found in a crime scene.

Meanwhile riot starts breaking out in the city. Right-handers demand “The Moon” to be closed. They don’t want to have murderers in the

neighborhood.

Veronica feels that she is an only one to blame for this situation. She decides to fight back even if it means being a person she fears the most – herself.

director's noteThis is an universal story about dis-crimination of minorities, preconception, blindness of society, manipulation and lies, false justice and power of huma-nity. Story where love and perception of equality overcomes vanity and blind prejudice, though all of that is marked by losses and mistakes of human behavior.

I am from a small country that was all-ways in a crossroad between Europe and Russia. For ages lots of different cultures and religions lived and nourished togeth-er in my hometown Vilnius. It all changed as we became part of Soviet Union. We fought back our independence, but peoples psychology was changed. Once multicultural, Vilnius became homopho-bic. The threat of Russia is still in the air, especially now, when we have Ukraine crisis. The core of the story is based on Lithuanian Russian Drama Theatre that creates shows in Russian language for Russian speaking population (5% in total in Lithuania). Lithuanians do not go to that theatre as it is the relict of Soviet Union and the Theatre is very closed one.

I want to tell a story about peoples ma-

nipulation through the con artist Veronica. By accident she becomes the key figure in manipulation game between people who want to destroy the minority theatre “The Moon”. Her change interests me as an artist most – how much we can all sac-rifice in the sake of others? How blind we can stay if we are offered the fulfilment of our dreams?

Furthermore, I believe that similar sto-ries happened, happens and will happen – that is the reason I do want to use “no time, no place” concept. For this story I also want to use very vivid characters with high pitch emotions and absurd situ-ations.

As sometimes we can not believe in re-ality that is happening around us, I want to use the style of an old dark fairy tale. When I was a kid, I believed in them. But I always believed in good endings too as “all the ideas created by evil will fail sooner or later” (theatre director Jonas Vaitkus).

Page 11: Jellyfish in the Moon presentation 2

MOOD and STYLE >>> In terms of film mood and style, we will be going towards "modern noir" look. Where the shadows, dark tones, darkness and monochromatic colours will dominate.

CHARACTERS >>> As the story will take us in to the mysti-cal, unnatural, fictional world in the place that exists “somewhere" and "sometime", our characters will be exaggerated in their look and style. In terms of acting, main Characters will proceed on the quite natural style of acting, though supporting Characters will amplify their characteristics and emotions.

CINEMATOGRAPHY >>> In terms of Cinematography we will be working with low key lighting and under exposed material. That will be the main consideration, when we will be talking about lighting the sets and creating the mood of the film. Our camera movement will work along with Main Character’s journey, emotions and experiences in the world that is new to her, while she tries to find her way of understanding her mission and herself. Camera goal is to create and magnify not only the Charac-ters, but also to complete and exaggerate the dark fairy tale look. So, I do plan to amplify camera movement and accom-pany it with poetic and/or surrealistic shots to amplify emotions, metaphors and underlined meaning.

LOCATIONS >>> As for Locations, we are looking for the cities, that have old-towns with an epic looks and marvellous architectural styles, accompanied with abandoned, untouched, rough, really old buildings, dark cobblestone streets and beauti-ful nature.
