Creativity to me is innate - it is playful, evolving ideas, a thought, re-creating, and amusing the soul; hence, emerging into the spirit of my project as it unfolds,

revealing its beauty and function. My earnest goals as an up-and-coming graphic designer and illustrator are to capture my creativity to use along with the aspects of design: form and function along with balance and harmony to convey a design substantial to the visual world.

I am observant by nature with a keen attention to details and thereby focusing on a particular idea naturally stirs up my imagination. My process involves observance, discovering different options, planning energetically for visual impact, and finally taking control to produce meaningful results.

I am rooted in optimism and dedicated to working in sync with all clients. My strong interpersonal skills enable me to understand the clients’ needs and deliver remarkable products.

My designs tend to be geared for impact along with beauty and style. Success in my finished works are to create compelling harmony, ideal balance, and the potential for an amazing memorable legacy.

My playgrounds are enchanting software programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver. In my educational path I have accomplished Associate degrees in Art and Applied Art and Design; concentrating on Graphic Design. Succeeding from over twenty-five years in the ever-charged merchant retail sector, I am driven towards the marketing experience. I am intensely inspired to serve and motivate the evolving entrepreneur, the striving small business, or the worthwhile charitable organization, all of whom understand the importance of connecting their entity to a functional visual icon that would highilght their brand as noticeable and recognizable.

Cupcakes in the City: Creatively, a recent project of Front End web development study and the use of HTLM5 and CSS3 along with my imagination of developing a ficticious mobile entreprenuer based business for the infamous great city of San Francisco, Calif. arose the unique website of Cupcakes in the City. Taking into account the numerous districts and tourist sectors of San Francisco, the direction of the website became a mobile business, along with a catering feature of selling delectable and scrumptious “cupcakes” and deriving clever names of flavors to match the city’s highlighted areas.

This small website included a flavorful menu with great locations and some fun and energetic cupcake illustrations. This was all brought together with Dreamweaver CC, Ilustrator, and Photoshop software.

This keen graphic was used as a disjointed rollover on the location webpage for a fun ficticious website called Cupcakes in the City.

This delightful Mobile Cupcake wagon was one of the end products utilizing the Adobe Illustrator software and also to create a few whimsical vector based luscious cupcakes using the infamous pen tool, choice brushes, lines, and shapes.

There is a certain ingenuity, thought process, and overall cohesiveness needed in the logo development and branding identity of a business or other entity.

The finshed products such as business cards, letterheads, and/or marketing signs should hold the family appeal over the entire package. Simplicity with design elements and color choices are other key factors to great end products.

Cupcakes in the City website end result was a total of four web pages: home, menu, locations, and a contact page.

event flyersSTANDDOWN 2012:This flyer’s composition was meant to be a simple call to those who feel a need or are looking for comaraderie amongst other veterans. The color pallet is patriotic and the illustrated flag has just a downright hometown feel. This flyer was collaborated between the Adobe software of Photoshop and Ilustrator: dimensions-8.5 x 11in.

Veterans Health & Resource Event:2013 was a different event with similar but selective resources to capture our younger Veteran’s audience that were not familiar with the usual Stand Down practices.Printed 8.5 x 11 in. flyers were distributed around town. Also printed, were quartered flyers for easy and memorable handouts.

The Nevada County STANDDOWN is consisted of volunteers and other local services who band together once a year to consider all Veterans in the local and surrounding areas and is a term used for when a trooper is in need of relief from his/her combat duties.

Personal enjoyment comes from doing what feels good. I had some pleasant creative time in developing a few FACEBOOK timeline banners.

Utilizing the beautiful scenery in my own backyard I did the usual seasonal pictorals of Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Here displayed is the “Spring has Sprung” banner. Timeline banners are sized at 851px x 315px.

This recent banner project was an effort to help facilitate the message of introducing the need and desire to add to our local community safety efforts; which includes a new association of volunteers to raise funds in supporting a new peace officer: Officer Rudiger K-9 Unit.

The K-9 graphic credits go to local artist and illustrator Jerianne VanDijk and the logo of the NCPD Police badge was supplied by the Nevada City Police Dept. This no frills project was about placement strategy, font and color choices to respectfully reflect the Peace officers straightforward message in “Keeping our Community Safe.” The finished banner is sized at 2.5 ft x 8 ft.

This banner was an original creative project to re-vitalize the signage of an existing and well-known Street Market Vendor for the weekly and seasonal markets they trade in.

The vision was to bring on the ambiance of a wharfside appeal because of the products that are being sold. This is a colorful and enticing banner that sits atop a large canopy tent and the owner custom made a pvc structure to frame the banner.

The upgrade in signage for this business was a definite success in that sales were substantially increased. The finished size of the banner is 3ft x 10ft.

The “Kettle Corn” Vendor banner was done for the Olde Tyme Kernel Co. business as it was in need for it’s older graphics and typography to be updated with new illustrations and vintage/western typefaces. Based on a carnivale theme and the ‘olde tyme’ persona that the owner projects in his venue worked amazingly well and the proprietor was very well pleased and sales increased.

Two banners were printed (one with grommets-one without) and the finished size of each is 2ft x 8ft.
