Sunday, July 8: Registration
Monday through Friday, July 9 – 13: Daily Schedule
Thursday, July 12: Evening Concert
2:30 – 3:30 p.m. • Registration – Atrium of Collin College, Spring Creek Campus
• Fee Payment (Balance of Tuition/Lunch fees)• Turn in all registration forms
2:45 – 4:30 pm • Auditions for band placement – Sight reading, scales and improvisation (nothing to prepare)
• Theory Placement Exam – Nothing to study, simply show us what you know
8:30 – 9:30 am • Monday Only: Mandatory General Meeting for all camp participants (parents/guardians welcome to attend) in John Anthony Theatre
• Tuesday – Friday: Theory/Arranging Courses
9:30 – 11:00 • Sectionals/Full Band Rehearsals/Jazz Records
11:00 – 12:00 • Jazz Improvisation (Beginning – Intermediate – Advanced)
12:00 – 1:00 pm • LUNCH
1:00 – 2:00 • Master classes• Clinic with Adam Larson (Thursday)
2:00 – 3:30 • Sectionals/Full Band Rehearsals/Jazz Records
3:30 • Students dismissed for the day
7:00 pm • Faculty Concert with guest artist Adam Larson• Free admission: John Anthony Theatre• Families are encouraged to attend and bring
friends
Friday, July 13: Final Concert
FEES
The balance of tuition must be paid at registration. Cash, check or credit cards (MC/Visa) will be accepted. Please make checks payable to “Collin College / Jazz Camp” and please include your driver’s license number on the check.
FORMS
Participants of the Texas All-Star Jazz Camp must have the Health Inventory, Insurance Verification and Indemnifying Liability Release forms on file. This is a Collin requirement for those attending any summer conference, camp, or workshop on the Spring Creek Campus. These forms must be turned in at registration.
IMPORTANT ITEMS TO BRING
• Your instrument, mouthpieces, reeds, mutes, etc. Drummers need to bring their own cymbals, sticks, brushes, hi-hat clutch etc. Pianos, bass amps, and basic drum sets should be available for rehearsals. Guitarists check at registration about the need to bring a small practice amplifier. Please bring picks, patch chords, extra strings etc.
• Casual attire is recommended for daily workshop events.
• Please bring pens, pencils and paper/staff paper daily for lectures, master classes and theory/arranging classes. All students should have a
