Impact - Current ProjectsCompany’s Assisted• Through the TAP implemented at SWASAP the
company achieved an EN13261 accreditation
from the Duetsche Bahn. Only axle
manufacturer in South Africa
• Adventure Power has sold and installed a total
of six 300kW wind turbines. The TLIU assisted
Adventure Power with technology interventions
that allowed the company to comply with
international standards.
• The technologies implemented at Trax included
direct imaging software, probe testers and
reverse pulse plating. These technologies were
aligned to the requirements of the PCBs to be
used on the SKA.
• Working with the CSIR and a valve OEM
(Gunric), the TLIU has assisted Yellow Star to
design and develop a gearbox. The designs
were completed by the CSIR and the
prototypes were developed through a 3D rapid
prototyping process at CUT.
