hadincommonisourlovefortheLord.Wesharethesamevaluesandim-

portanceoffamily.Wehavenowbeenmarriedforfiveyears.Jennyhastwo

sonsfromherpreviousmarriageandhadbeenprayingforaGodlymanto

comeintoherlifeforherandtheboys.God’sanswerwasgreaterthanshe

couldhaveeverimagined.WhileNathan(13)andJacob(10)bothhaveagreat

relationshipwiththeirdad,Jasonisthe“everyday”dad.Eventhoughtheymay

notbehisbybirthhelovesthemasthoughtheyare.Ithasbeenabeautiful

adventurebuildingourfamilyandwefeelthatGodisleadingustoaddtoour

familythroughadoption.NathanandJacobaresoexcitedforanewsibling.

Thisbabywillbesolovedandprotectedbytwobigbrothers!

Asafamilywelovetobeoutdoorscamping,canoeing,hikingandattendingprettymuchanysportingevent.Jasonhas

alsobeenteachingtheboystofishwhileJennyreadsabook!Weenjoyweekendtripstovisitmybrotherandfamily.We

keepprettybusyasbothboysplaybaseballandfootballandwelovetowatchthemplay.Wemanagetofindtimealone

togetherandenjoytryinganewrestaurantorseeingamovieorjustgoingforadrive.Weenjoysharingourdayswitheach

otherandareeachother’sbiggestfans!

hisquietconfidentstrengthispartofwhatdrewmetohim.He

doesnothavechildrenofhisownanditwasanamazingthing

towatchhimstepintothefatherrolewithmyboyssonaturally.

Iwasalreadyinlovewithhimbutthedayhetearedupandtold

mehowmuchhelovesmyboysprettymuchsealeditforme!

Hehasbecometheleaderofourfamily.Heisamanofgreat

integrityandisaprotectorandproviderofusall.Theboyslove

himandlookuptohim.InfactNathanwhenhadtowritesome-

thingaboutwhohisheroisandwhy,myheartmeltedwhenhe

toldmehechoseJason.Jasonshowshisloveforuseverydayby

puttingusfirst.Hemakesmefeellovedeveryday.Heistheman

Godchosetofilltheholeinmyheartandinourfamily.

Jasonlikestofishandhunt.Healsolovestogotomovies.He

canfixalmostanything.Jasonisaplumberwith20yearsofexpe-

rienceandistheforemanonlargenewconstructioncommercial

buildings.Hesaysthatbeingaplumbertaughthimthatbecause

hehastobeabletodoorfigureoutanything.Hedemonstrated

thisbybuildingabeautifullargedeckonourhouseallbyhimself

andwespendmanyquieteveningsoutthere.

Jennyisasweet,tenderwomanfull

ofpersonality.Sheisamotivatedand

dedicatedwifeandmother.Shehas

somuchcompassionforothersandis

alwayswillingtolistentosomeoneand

encouragethem.Shespendsalotoftimeplanningfamilyevents

(picnics,parties)forourfamilyaswellasfindingnewandfun

thingsforustodoasafamily.Shelovestospendhersummer

withtheboysatheraunt’sormysister’spool.Jennyisamusic

teacherandhastaughtelementarymusicfor18years.Shereally

enjoysgettingtobeastay-at-homemomallsummer.Sheiseasy

tobearoundandhasaninfectioussmilethatmakesyouwantto

smiletoo.That’sactuallywhatdrewmetoher--thatsmile!Jenny

lovestosingandsheservesatourchurchonthepraiseteamand

choir.Sheenjoyscooking(whenshehastime)butevenwhen

sheisbusyshegetsdinneronthetableandweeatasafamily

almosteverynightoftheweek.Sheisablessingtomeandour

family.

Our family Weareblessedtohaveawonderfulfamily.Jenny’sMompassedin2015butherDad

livesnearbyandattendsthesamechurchasus.WeenjoySundaydinnersafterchurch

withhimandseehimduringtheweekespeciallyduringfootballandbaseballseasons

asherarelymissesagame.JennyhasonebrotherRichwhoismarriedtoKamiandthey

havetwochildren,Walker(4)andPiper(2).Theyliveabout3hoursaway,butweseethem

aboutonceamonthwitheitherfamilytravelingtotheotherfortheweekend.These

weekendsarealwaysfilledwithsomuchfunandlaughter.Wehavegoneonvacation

withthemseveraltimesandthesearethebestmemories.Wetalkandtextregularlyand

theboysandtheircousinsfacetimeallthetime!WeareveryclosetoJenny’sAuntKimandherfamily.Shehasbecomeasort

ofgrandma/aunttotheboysandwespendlotsoftimeatherhouseforfamilygatheringsorjusthangingatherpool.

Jason’sfamilyiscloseaswell.Hecomesfromafamilyofsix–withnephewsandnieceswhoarecloseinagetohim.We

lovehangingoutwiththemathissisters’housewherethereisalwaysapoolparty!WeenjoyourvisitswithhisMomoften

takingherouttodinner.WeallliketogotoseeJason’sDadandStepmomandlistentostoriesofhisyoungerdays.Weget

toseelotsofsiblings,niecesandnephewsathissister’spoolduringthesummersandcherishourtimespentwiththem.

Why Adoption?Godisleadingustoaddtoourfamilythroughadoption.Wewouldlovetohavechildrenofourown,howeverduetopastmedicalissuesJennycannolongerhavechildrenand

Jasonhasnobiologicalchildren.Weloveraisingtheboyssomuchwefeelthatourfami-lycangrowthroughadoption.WebelievethatallchildrenaregiftsfromGodbornwithapurposeandaplan.Wearecertainthatwecouldraiseachildofadifferentethnicityto

beproudofhisorhercultureandabovealltoloveandshowlovetoothers.
