current will be cut off automatically if electricity is used beyond the contract ampere.

To change or increase the present contract ampere, contact your nearest TEPCO customer center

    How to CalculateYour Electricity Bill

Monthly electricity rates are the sum of demand charge and energy charge plus the

consumption tax, etc. Demand charge will be determined by the contract ampere or contract power,

while the energy charge will be calculated according to energy consumption.

The energy charge to be adjusted under the fuel cost adjustment system*, however, will be the

sum plus or minus the fuel cost adjustment amount.

*The fuel cost adjustment system is designed to meet changes in recent fuel costs, so that

electricity rates will be adjusted automatically every three months according to certain standards if

the cost of fuels, such as crude oil, LNG (liquefied natural gas) or coal, rises or falls due to

fluctuations in the foreign exchange rate and energy prices.

You are requested to pay your electricity bill within 30 days counting from the day your meter is

read. If failure of payment exceeds 50 days, the electricity in your home may be stopped as stated

    in a prior notice.

If the last payment day has passed and you fail to

pay your electricity bill, we may charge overdueinterest to the amount of the number of days

following the payment date to the day on which you

actually pay the bill. The overdue interest shall be a

sum determined by multiplying the net charge for

payment covered by the calculation of such interest

by 10% per annum (for the purpose of such

calculation, all years, including leap years, shall be

considered to have 365 days each).
