New Toyota Supra coming?

Toyota may be taking its time, but a reborn Supra now looks more likely than ever thanks to some news from the trademarks office in Europe. Little doubt then that Toyota is looking to hang onto the rights to the Supra name, but the carmaker is saying nothing of any new sports car.

1971 Nissan Skyline KPCG10 GT R Hakosuka —

SOLD for $210K !

This RARE and CLASSIC 1971 Nissan Skyline KPCG10 GTR

Hakosuka (Hakosuka — “box Skyline”) was sold at USS Tokyo on 16 June

2016 for 12,670,000 YEN FOB.

This model had very limited production numbers and prices are rapidly

increasing with each example auctioned. 3 years ago a similar example

sold for 4.4 million Yen which seemed expensive at the time.

We expect prices to exceed $300,000 in the very near future, with the KGC10

and GC10 models being pulled up behind them.

To research prices and availability for any vehicle model available in Japan you

can use our online Japan Auction Search which shows cars coming up for

auction as well as 3 months of past sale results. So you can quickly see what’s

been sold in that time and work out how realistic it will be to find the car you

want, and likely landed prices.

Want a “cheap” GTR?

Many people have been shocked by the surge in GTR prices this year. For

most, a GTR has always been their dream car and they thought they had

a few more years to work towards it.

The sudden price rises have spurred many in this situation to bring

forward their plans and buy a GTR now before they are no longer

affordable. This in turn is increasing demand and putting further pressure

on prices.

Prestige Motorsport was founded in 1999 to help enthusiasts like

us avoid poor quality and falsified imports.

As such we are very much against odometer tampering on

Japanese vehicles and are committed to ensuring that as a valued

client, you fully understand what you’re buying and you get what

you pay for.

Classic Japanese Import Cars ~ recent examples

Considering buying a Japanese classic import car and looking to Japan itself for

more choice, better condition or a lower price ?

1971 Nissan Skyline KGC10 coupe GT-X

Other 70’s Skylines

Not to mention GTR’s like this 71,000 km 1994 R32 GTR non VSpec that sold for

over $53,000 yesterday or this 338,000 km 2002 R34 GTR V Spec 2 NUR that

sold for $130K+ once LCT is taken into account.

1982 Porsche 911SC coupe

This classic 1982 Porsche 911SC coupe was inspected for a client at USS

Tokyo auction on 27 March 2014. It was in very good condition overall for its age.

It sold for 1,547,000 YEN FOB. Total price in Australia at the time would have been

approx. $21,300 landed plus compliance and registration costs (calculated at a rate

of 94.3 yen to the dollar).
