Accessories that! Welcome to the first issue of the year “The Outfit Enhancer”. It’s common tradition to set New Year’s resolutions when the year starts and unfortunately it seems like common tradition to deviate from those resolutions. What I personally do at the beginning of the year, is write down 12 things I want to achieve in that year and put the list away. At the end of the year I review the list and I find I have managed to achieve some of the things I put down. It’s something to do with the subconscious mind. If you are you have a target to achieve something you are more likely to feel pressured and you start to stress yourself. I don’t like stress and I will not tolerate it. I write my list put it away and press on with life. This month we are paying homage to the items that enhance and hold our outfits together. The accessories. When that two piece no longer has hope, the belt comes in handy, the necklaces, the earrings, they give our faces that extra glow…We salute you!TRANSCRIPT

FASHION HAWKSFashion is an ever changing game. These are just some of the accessories
designers to keep your eyes peeled out for.Venessa Arizaga – Venessa Arizaga has been handcrafting beautiful
and colourful accessories since 2008. She says her love forjewellery is inspired by her passion for travelling. Venessa has the
exotic nature within her as she spends her time between NewYork and Puerto Rico. She has already worked with other
influential designers including Zac Posen, so we can be certainshe has a lot to bring to the table. She has been there, done thatand got the experience. We are even more excited about Venessa
this year because last year, she launched her first men’scollection which goes hand in hand with her women’s
collection.Robynn Molino- Robynn Molino from Los Angeles has
been in the designing business since 1997. Her jewelleryserves to tell a story bringing some meaning to each
piece. Robynn uses materials from old machinery andunrecognised objects to create her jewellery. During herstudies in Philadelphia, Robynn participated in a 2 daycraft show where jewellery sold out within two hours.
This is an exciting brand and we want to see what moreRobynn can do with her resources.
Eddie Borgo – Eddie Borgo seems to be a guy who likes toexperiment with his jewellery designs. Eddie has been
commissioned to design jewellery for several runway showsincluding Marchesa and Proenza Schouler. We first saw a full
collection from Eddie in 2009 and it was then that we fullygrasped Eddie’s concept of design, modern art expressedthrough jewellery. With that in tow Eddie went on to be
awarded the first ever CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund Tiffany &Co. Development grant. Eddie is based in New York where hecontinues to create timeless pieces that challenge our idea of
luxury. We’ve always liked a challenge here at Demur.
Piers Atkinson Millnery - Piers Atkinson is a man ofmany talents. He happens to be an artist, fashion
editor, costume designer, illustrator, milliner, partyorganiser and DJ! – Is there anything he isn’t doing?
Perhaps growing up around three different generationsof creative women has resulted in Piers being mufti-
talented culturist. His grandmother was an illustratorand horticulturalist. Hilary Elliot, his mother was a
theatrical millinery and his sister was the muse to hiscreativity. Since Piers launched his first collection in
2008 he has dressed the likes of Lady Gaga, Kelis andRihanna, who all happen to be some of our fashion
icons.
Williams Handmade – Originality at its best. SarahWilliams the young lass behind Williams Handmadestrives to celebrate British National Heritage withher brand. It does exactly what it says on the tin.All bags are handmade and produced only with
the finest British leather. Sarah and her brand haveenjoyed great honours including being selected as
one of Selfridge’s Bright Young Things and chosenby Fashion East to show at London Fashion
Week. The ethos behind Williams Handmade isthey produce pieces which raise the appreciationof hand craftsmanship. It feels only right that we
celebrate our own home-grown talent.
Robynn Molino- Robynn Molino from Los Angeles hasbeen in the designing business since 1997. Her jewellery
serves to tell a story bringing some meaning to eachpiece. Robynn uses materials from old machinery and

high fashion statement jewellery. We love the fact that allthe pieces are handmade and designed in her London
studio. It seems only right Victoria has the creative flair inher. When she was younger she lived above her family’s
art gallery together with her artistic father and sister.Jerboa hasa special service where you can have bespoke
jewellery designed especially for you, (perhaps lads this isthe place to get that special engagement you have been
looking for). What’s even more special is the fact you canbe involved in each step of the design process and watch
your bespoke piece come to life.Williams Handmade – Originality at its best. SarahWilliams the young lass behind Williams Handmadestrives to celebrate British National Heritage withher brand. It does exactly what it says on the tin.All bags are handmade and produced only with

MUSIC HAWKSSomething to keep your eyes occupied and your mind souled out. These are
our artist to look out for this month.Public Acces TV – So these ladsseemed rather peculiar when theyfirst came on to the scene. Theyreleased their music on Soundcloudwithout a name or a title for theirsongs. As people heard of theirmusic they were intrigued andbecame interested and suddenly theband were turning down gigsbecause there were just too manyrequests coming in. The band areknown as Public Access TV. JohnEatherly who formed the band, leftschool at 17 and immediately doveinto the music business where hetoured with other upcoming bands.John eats and breathes music andnow he sings, plays guitar andwrites all the songs Public Access TV.
Rae Morris - We have the talented RaeMorris who has been a music fiendsince the age of four when she learnt toplay the piano. Her debut single “Don’tGo” was used in the final episode ofthe sixth series of Skins. Some haveeven compared her vocal skills toFlorence Welch so obviously theexpectations are high. Her EP “ForYou” was sold at her live performancesin 2012. After performing as openingact for our lovely boy George Ezra onhis European tour, things really tookoff and we saw Rae performing at herown headlining UK tour with anotherone t follow next month in February. Her debut album “Unguarded”, dueout later this month is a story taleabout all the lessons she has learntduring her rise to stardom. We like astory here at Demur.
Kwabs - Just by posting a few videos on YouTube andof course hard work and perseverance, Kwabena Adjepong
caught the attention of Atlantic Records and fastforward two years on he is now releasing his debut
album under the label. Kwabs has had music embeddedin his blood from a young age. Whilst placements werein demand to study at the renown Royal Academy ofMusic, Kwabs won his place at the academy and spenthis time in the school choir and jazz band. It’s been a
while since the UK has had a decent sophisticated Neo-Soul artist. Kwabs may have just fixed that issue with his
sweet melodic voice. Kwabs’ latest track “Walk” isfeatured on the FIFA 15 soundtrack.
Wolf Alice – This Camden band just wants “toplay to loads of f**king people” and it appearsloads of people want to hear them. So much sothat Wolf Alice were named the most bloggedabout artist in the UK in 2013. In their questthey have so far, sold out their headline tour
and played at Reading, Glastonbury andLeeds. Not bad at all. Not bad. They have analbum due out this year which we are itchingto hear. The quartet bring an alternative rock
feel with their music and this year as theycontinue “to play to loads of f**king people”,
we can only hope to be a part of theiraudience.Kwabs - Just by posting a few videos on YouTube and

spreading his wings all over the place with his music.Just last year Rhodes he completed his first headline
tour and supported London Grammar and Sam Smithon their London Tours and in Amsterdam and Paris. It seems most of our recent talented artist are beingbrewed in Hertfordshire. Rhodes was born and raisedin Hitchin in Hertfordshire, the same area as JamesBay another one to look out for. Hailing from the
same neck of the Hertfordshire woods as James Bay.Rhodes sings and strums his guitar to something most
of us can relate to, a beautiful thing called and an uglytruth called loss.
