See you soon, Cindy Williams President This being a new year, I would like to encourage each one of you to face this new year with excitement and enthusiasm, with your focus on Pilot's mission, to make a difference in the lives of others. We have several opportunities to do this in the next few months: Anchor/Pilot Joint Meeting, Bowl-a- Thon fundraiser and Special Olympics. Happy New Year Pilots, I hope everyon had a wonderful Christams. Now that the holidays are past us, it's time to roll up our sleeves and move ahead into the second half of our Pilot year. I want to thank everyone for the great job you did on selling our Pecans. Also, due to your efforts, December was our best month so far, in selling our Gift Cards. Lastly, but very importantly, we need nominations for Club Officers for the 2013-2014 year. Each of you have great ideas and talents that benefit our Club, so please give consideration to taking one of these positions. If you are interested in being on the Board, but perhaps lack confidence, be assured we have many resources for training. I'm Sure you will find it a good experience. followed by our Guest Speakers - Residents from the Gainesville Scholarship House

RSVP to Missy Ridgway by January 11th for Dinner arrangements!

Some of the Gainesville Scholarship House Residents will be joining us at our January Meeting as the

Guest Speaker to share with us and the Anchors about living in the Scholarship House. We will be

giving them the collected "household items" at that meeting to take back to Gainesville -

so we need to make sure the box is FULL of supplies!!

BRING YOUR SUPPLIES!!!!

Check your calanedar BEFORE the January Meeting to see if you will be able to volunteer!

Helen needs you to SIGN UP at the meeting on the 17th if you are able to work any of these days -

so be prepared that night to tell her what days you can help!

TIME TO FIND NEW OFFICERS The Nominating Committee will be

chosen at the January Joint Meeting

and will quickly be looking for members

to "Step Up" and lead our Pilot Club for

the 2013-2014 year. Will you be on

their list of of those that are "Stepping

Up"? Now is the time, to use

your talents and lead our club!

Registration is due on Feb 1st -- Cost is $85 per person / Rooms $80 per night

Even if you don't plan to attend, you can help the Anchors with their

District Project this year?.Christmas Stockings for "Give Kids the World"

January Anniversaries

The Anchors will be filling about 1200 Christmas Stockings with gifts, toys and candy all donated by the Anchor

Clubs and Pilots. TheseStockings will be given to the families that come to "Give Kids The World" Village in

Kissimmee for their "dream vacation" sponsored by "Make A Wish Foundation"

Suggested items to donate: crayons, pencils, notepads, activity books, puzzle books, matchbox cars, army men,

little dolls, small stuffed animals, slinky, jacks, small bouncy balls, candy (no gum or chocolate), etcA
