What is new in the Library for 2012?
We tend to look to the New Testament to tell us about Jesus,
yet it was the Old Testament about which Jesus said, "the
Scriptures point to me!" In Discovering Jesus in the Old
Testament, Nancy Guthrie takes readers from Genesis
through Malachi shining the light of Christ on the promise of a
descendent who will put an end to the curse of sin, the story
of a father who offers up his son as a sacrifice, the symbol of a
temple where people can meet with God, the prophecy of a
servant who will suffer, the person of a king who will rule with
righteousness—and so much more. Day by day throughout the year, readers will see
the beauty of Christ in fresh new ways, creating a deeper understanding and
appreciation for who Jesus is and what he accomplished through his Incarnation,
Cross and Resurrection.
Find out what the world of sports can teach us about spiritual
principles with this One Year daily devotional. Each daily
reading focuses on a Scripture verse and a devotional
illustration from the sports world. Illustrations come from over
40 different sports, including basketball, football, baseball,
snowboarding, skateboarding, track, golf, and more. This
devotional provides daily insight into Scripture for sports fans
ages 12 and up.
Whether you’re eighteen or eighty, you can become healthy-
highly healthy! In 10 Essentials of Highly Healthy People, by
Walt Larimore, M.D., you will find medically reliable,
biblically sound, and practical guidance for assessing and
then impacting your health. Discover 10 principles to help
you balance the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual
parts of your life. If you are in good health or struggling, you
can use this resource to care for the health needs of life.
