Young at Heart will meet on Tuesday, January 8 in the social hall
for a pot luck lunch. Please bring a dish to share. Share a warm
lunch and enjoy the fellowship of your fellow parishioners. All are
welcome!
March for Life The 2019 March for Life will occur on Friday, Janu-
ary 18 at the Na4onal Mall in Washington, DC. If you are interested
in traveling by round trip by chartered bus for no more than $40 per
person, please write your name and phone number on the sign up
sheet in the commons a>er Mass and either Joan Devlin or John
Keeley will contact you with further details. For more informa4on,
go to marchforlife.org or call John Keeley at 904-3126.
You are welcome to join us. Individuals and couples are invited to
join us on Sunday morning a>er Mass to discuss and share about
the readings at Mass. This discussion 4me has helped us become
more a7en4ve to the Word of God in the Mass readings for the day,
and we welcome you to join us. Experience with Bible study is not
necessary to profit from this group. There will be a table in the Fel-
lowship Hall where you can get more info about how we approach
this study. The group meets from 10-11 Sunday mornings and we
pre7y much follow the children’s religious educa4on schedule.
Chili Cook-Off The Chili Cook-Off, has been rescheduled for Friday,
January 25th, 6pm. Do whatever you have to do: Concoct anew,
modify a current contending recipe, borrow from a friend or ab-
scond with grandma’s secret recipe, your winning entry into our
2019 compe44on! Bring a dessert to share or make a nominal do-
na4on because this event is just for fun and not a fundraiser. There
will be 75/25 drawing, $100 guaranteed. Please invite your friends
and neighbors. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.
In Case You Were Wondering Ever look at our beau4ful stained
glass windows and wonder about the La4n words? Well, wonder no
more. Thanks to a helpful sugges4on by a couple of parishioners
and some work by one of our Pastoral Council members, we not
have English transla4ons of the La4n tastefully done and placed at
the bo7om of each window. Check it out.
Bishop Knestout encourages anyone aware of miscon-

WDBJ Channel 7, and
posted on their websites.
* All Services Cancelled – no weekend ser-
vices or religious educa4on classes
* Snow Schedule – Sunday Mass will be at
11am instead of 8:30am. Religious Educa4on clas-
ses will be cancelled.
On weekdays, we follow the schedule of Botetourt
County schools. If the schools are closed because of
weather, the church ac4vi4es of the day will be can-
celled, including daily Mass & all parish mee4ngs
and ac4vi4es. In the event schools are delayed 2
hours, daily Mass will be cancelled.

Teaching Assistant Roanoke Catholic School is seeking a
Teaching Assistant for our lower school. Submit a cover

Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat for Healing AIer Abor�on will
be held January 25-27 at The Williamsburg Chris4an Retreat
Center in Toano, VA sponsored by St. Joan of Arc Church.
The weekend retreat includes spiritual exercises, the Sacra-
ment of Reconcilia4on, a Memorial Service and a Mass of
Entrustment and is available to women, men and anyone
