RENEWING OUR COMMITMENT TO CHRIST

Everyone faces to the west and the Priest then says:

Priest: Do you renounce Satan, and all his works, and all his worship, and all his angels, and all his pomp? (3 times)

People: I do renounce him.

Priest: Have you renounced Satan? (3 times)

People: I have renounced him.

Priest: Then blow and spit upon him.

The faithful lean forward, blowing while lightly spitting, and then turn and face east.

Priest: Do you join Christ? (3 times)

People: I do join Him.

Priest: Have you joined Christ? (3 times)

People: I have joined Him.

Priest: And do you believe in Him?

People: I believe in Him as King and as God.

I believe in one God, Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and

invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages;

Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten, not created, of one essence with the Father through

Whom all things were made.

Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and

the Virgin Mary and became man.

He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried;

And He rose on the third day, according to the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father;

And He will come again with glory to judge the living and dead. His kingdom shall have no end.

And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Creator of life, Who proceeds from the Father, Who together with

the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, Who spoke through the prophets.

In one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come.

Amen.

Priest: Have you joined Christ?

People: I have joined Him.

Priest: Then bow before Him and worship Him.

People: I bow down before the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit; Trinity one in essence and

undivided.

Meals Needed

Volunteers to provide meals for Dr. Kordis and his 4 team members are still needed. Homecooked meals are preferred with extra portions for a light supper. An entree, a salad, a vegetable, bread and fruit or a light dessert will nourish them as they complete their beautiful work for our Church. Please plan to set up and clean up afterwards. Teams seem to work well. Donations to provide meals are also welcomed. Sign up in the Founders' Walk after the Divine Liturgy or call Sandy in the Parish Office at 317-733-3033 for further details.

Prosforo Baking Class

On Saturday, February 3 at 12pm, we will offer a Prosforo baking class for all bakers. If you are new to making Prosforo or would like a refresher course, please join us! Recipes and ingredients will be provided. Any questions or to RSVP, please contact Cindy Freudenberg at (317) 989-3387, or [email protected]

Stewardship - Everyone who has not yet completed a 2018 Stewardship Commitment Card is encouraged to do so. Blank cards are available in the Founders ' Walk and onl ine at www.holytrinityindy.org.

Holy Trinity Parish Bylaws stipulate that Stewards must have fulfilled last year's Stewardship Commitment, as well as c o m p l e t e t h e c u r r e n t y e a r ' s Stewardship Commitment card and commenced donations by March 1 of each calendar year, in order to be eligible to vote at a General Assembly, run for the Parish Council, or vote in Parish elections.

Those with personal challenges regarding their 2017 Stewardship Commitment need to contact Father Bill before February 28, 2018.

Ingredients for the Icons

The recipe for paint for icons of the icons in Phase 1 and Phase 2 is egg yoke, white wine, and lavender oil. Dr Kordis has changed his approach for Phase 3, using acrylic and silicate for the paint. Since many of the icons will be within reach of people, he is using these materials, which are washable.

Iconography Phase 3

NEW Icons have been added! Those interested in donating an icon for Phase 3 are encouraged to review the updated list of available icons. The process is the same as Phase 2 -- "first come, first served". Please include the Code Number on the memo line of the check. If another means of donating the funds is used, the Code Number should be either written on paper or sent in an email to avoid any confusion. When full payment is received, the icon is then considered donated and thus not available to anyone else. A display of sketches for Phase 3 is in the Founders' Walk.
