WEATHER ADVISORY

Other parishes in Chester County have instituted a

policy, that if the local school district is closed or on

a delay due to inclement weather, the daily morning

Mass is cancelled.

In conformity with these parishes, if the Octorara

School District is closed or delayed due to inclement

weather, the daily Mass at OLC will be cancelled.

We want our parishioners to be safe.

“Follow Me” Class on Thursdays

The Catholic Adult Faith Enrichment (CAFÉ) team

is presenting a new video program on Thursday

evenings called “Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the

Gospel of John”.

This inspiring series began January 25 and runs for 8

weeks. We meet from 6:30-8:00 pm at the SPC.

The speaker is Dr. Edward Sri, and he will show us

how Jesus calls each of us to be His disciple and

friend.

The class is open to anyone and there is no cost.

The Study Guide is optional but recommended, and

you can purchase it for approximately $23.00. If you

buy the Study Guide it is shipped to your home and

you will have access to all the videos during the 8

weeks that the parish is running the class.

Parish Survey

Our Lady of Consolation will be participating in an international parish survey about discipleship conducted

by the Catholic Leadership Institute!

Please help us participate by completing a 10-15 minute survey online. The survey can be accessed online

at www.disciplemakerindex.com or in paper form at the parish. The survey will only be available from

Monday, February 5 to Monday, March 5 and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and

enable you to provide feedback on what efforts the parish is doing to help you grow.

All responses will be confidential and the parish will only receive information about the community as

whole.

We are trying to get the highest response rate possible. This information will be invaluable to the church and

our various ministries as we plan ahead and try to be the best disciples we can be. We will receive the results

this spring/summer at which time we will share what we have learned with the entire parish.

If you don’t use the internet – There will be paper copies available at the back of each worship site or by

contacting the rectory at 610-857-3510.

Thank you for helping with this important project!

OLC-ELC

OLC-ELC will begin to celebrate Catholic Schools

Week today with an Open House at 12:30pm (after

the 11:00am Mass). Learn about our various

preschool programs, meet our teachers and tour our

classrooms! All are welcome to attend!

We are located in the lower level of the Schneider

Parish Center.

Registration for the 2018-19 school year will open to

the general public on February 1.

Visit our website at www.olcelc.com to download a

registration form.

You may email us at [email protected] or leave

a message at 610-857-1163 with any questions or for

more information

Financial Peace University- Update!

The Stewardship Committee would like to provide

an update regarding Financial Peace University

(FPU) right here at Our Lady of Consolation. Ac-

cording to Dave Ramsey, we all need a plan for our

money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that

plan!

It teaches God's ways of handling money. Through

video teaching, class discussions and interactive

small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practi-

cal steps to get from where you are to where you've

dreamed you could be.

This plan will show you how to get rid of debt,

manage your money, spend and save wisely, and

much more! We will offer FPU again starting

Sunday, February 11 from 9:00am-10:55am and will

run for 8 sessions. We expect another great turnout.

Please take the next step and become a member of

the next FPU class.
