Did You Know? On the Covenant banner, the rainbow connecting the logos of our two churches symbolizes the covenant signed between our two congregations. Central to the banner is the cross, a symbol of reconciliation and hope.
You are invited to be part of a great
seniors’ group!
Rainbow 50+ provides a weekly program for seniors over 50. The program consists of
socializing, exercise, lunch and entertaining or educational programming. We invite you to join us! We also need people who would help with meal preparation and, especially, help plan and
purchase ingredients for the lunch. All expenses are reimbursed. We are an enthusiastic group (mainly seniors ourselves)! We meet Tuesday
mornings from 10:00 to 2:00 in the basement of St. Thomas Wesley United Church at the corner
of Ave. H and 20th Street. (If the main door is locked go to the west door and ring the
doorbell.) For more information call Maureen at 306-321-7580 or, better yet, drop by to see what
we are about! We resume on Jan. 14th.
Meals on Wheels Thanks to Cal and Carol who drove
on January 24th. This week, January 31st Wilf Gatrell
& George Wilson are driving route 1 and Karen Kovac is driving route 2. Thank you to
our faithful drivers for their support.

Celebrating 20 Years of Covenant On March 8, 2020, McClure United Church and Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church will celebrate 20 years of their Covenant relationship. After many years of dialogue, the churches entered into a formal Covenant in the year 2000 and have continued their faith journey together through regular socials, joint studies, retreats, social justice projects, pastor exchanges, and worship services. It is with much joy, that we celebrate our 20 years in Covenant relationship with a service of worship, Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 pm at McClure United Church. Guest speakers are Rev. Ron McConnell former Minister of McClure United Church and Father Bernard De Margerie former Priest of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church. A social will follow the service. Let us celebrate!
