Happy Chinese New Year!
January 25th the year of the Rat begins. If you were born in the years 1912, 1924,
1936, or 1948 you are of this sign.
Rats are quick-witted, resourceful, and

Casa Loma Christmas 2019
This December join us to celebrate and take part in the holiday magic at Casa Loma during A Nutcracker Christmas at the Castle. We are excited to host a widerange of activities and thrilling performances that are sure to be fun for the whole family. Guests will be surrounded by holiday magic throughout the castle which will be resplendent with holiday décor, including a 40ft tall tree in the Great Hall and eight other signature trees by talented Canadian designers. When: December 1st – January 5th , 9:30am-5pm
Where: Casa Loma - 1 Austin Terrace DeClute Light Up The Beach 2019
Join in this free family holiday event that brings the Beach and surrounding communities together to get into the holiday spirit. Watch Santa Claus as he magically illuminates the Beaches Boardwalk with 80,000 lights and turns it into a winter destination. Hot beverages, a photo booth and festive songs! The lights will sparkle nightly along the boardwalk from the Leuty Lighthouse to The Balmy Beach Club.

The Doctor Seuss Experience
A massive 15,000 square foot Dr. Seuss experience is coming to Toronto with 360-degree immersive spaces, the Seuss-tacular spectacle is a playground and presents a journey through the wondrous world of Dr. Seuss. The experience will include beloved stories and characters of Dr. Seuss, including “The Cat in the Hat”, “Horton Hears A Who!” and “The Lorax” as well as other timeless favourites. Lumina Toronto Zoo Terra Lumina at the Toronto Zoo is the eleventh unique experience created in Moment Factory’s Lumina night walk series. After nightfall at the Toronto Zoo this winter, you are invited to pursue an immersive experience along a 1.5 km walking path that travels into the future and back. The Blues: A Musical and Cultural History Rooted in the African-American experience, blues music is emotional, stirring, visceral and outspoken. Examine its origins in African antecedents and slave work songs and how the music came into its own on phonograph records, on street corners and in juke joints throughout the southeast United States. Hear the unforgettable stories and music of stars like B.B. King and Muddy Waters, and look at how a new generation of musicians in the 1960s adopted and repackaged the blues for an even wider audience. National Ballet of Canada presents THE NUTCRACKER
Toronto’s favourite holiday tradition! Ballet companies all over the world perform The Nutcracker during the holiday season, each with a special take on the beloved classic. The National Ballet of Canada has one of the very finest versions in the world in James Kudelka’s staging from 1995, set in 19th century Russia. With non-stop dancing and magnificent sets and costumes from Santo Loquasto, The Nutcracker is an unforgettable tribute to the imagination.

MANDELA
MANDELA is an exhibition that looks at Nelson Mandela and the movement that formed around him. Finally, witness South Africa’s first democratic elections, and find out about Mandela’s efforts to rebuild a nation shattered by racism and injustice.

time with your loved one while engaging in various leisure activities such as outdoor strolls in the backyard or courtyard, a visit to Our Lady of
Lourdes Church, a trip to the library or coffee shop, reading and reminiscing.
