School Resumes for Students on January 6th: Welcome back!!! We hope ev-eryone had a great winter break! School will resume for all students on Monday,January 6, at 7:50 a.m. We will look forward to seeing everyone back in 2020!
Report Cards: Second quarter report cards will be sent home with students onJanuary 9th. We will send a ParentLink message reminding you to look for yourstudent’s report card. Please take time to review your child’s report card and set
goals for the second semester. Middle school matters! Eligibility to play sports and participatein activities such as cheerleading, dance team, NAL, etc… is determined by the previous semes-ter’s grades. This is especially important for 8th graders to remember as they prepare to transi-tion to high school!
Conferences: Winter conferences will be held on February 12th, 13th, and 14th. You will bereceiving a preference sheet from your child’s conference teacher this month to choose confer-ence dates and times. Please be on the lookout for that sheet!
Pre-IB Applications: Pre-IB applications are available for the 2020-21 school year. If youknow anyone who is interested in the Pre-IB program, please encourage them to apply. Appli-cations and additional information regarding the program can be found on our websitewww.usd259.org/robinson Parent information nights are scheduled for January 14 and January23 beginning at 6:00 in the Robinson auditorium. All application materials are due by the endof the day on Monday, February 3, 2020.
No School: There will be no school for students on Monday, January 20, in observance ofMartin Luther King, Jr. Day!

Robinson Chess TeamCongratulations to the Robinson Chess team! They earned another 1st Place Award in the K-8 divison at theCollegiate Chess Tournament on December 7th. Thirteen students participated in the event.

Mock Your Socks Off is an event that prepares our AVID students for future interviewsand allows the community to work directly with students. This event is January 17,2020 from 9:00-11:00 AM. If you would like to participate, please contact Lisa Stangvia e-mail at [email protected].
