January 2019
It’s that time of the year where the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce & Industry celebrates its membership and hosts
their Annual Awards Banquet. The 2019 Annual Awards Banquet is scheduled for Friday, February 8 at the C.G. Therkildsen
Center, 706 Victoria Street. Harlan. This year’s theme is “Winter Wonderland”.
Doors open at 5:00 pm, with the banquet beginning at 5:30 pm with networking and cash bar. At 6:00 pm, we will start dinner,
provided by Main Street Market, Panama. After dinner, we will have SCCCI Trivia Game Night, followed by the awards cere-
mony. During this time, the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce & Industry will unveil award winners from the following cate-
gories: Citizen/Volunteer of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, New Business of the Year, and Business of the Year.
In keeping with tradition, we will hold a live auction, immediately after the awards ceremony. Silent auction items will be availa-

Main Street Market, Panama – Celebrating 20 years serving Shelby County and surrounding communities.
Main Street Market and Catering is the place to find a wide variety of grocery, fresh meat, produce and bakery items.
Here is something to know. During the past 20 years, Main Street Market has ground 180,000# of ground chuck, cut 13,000# of steaks, sold 21,000 bottles of Mountain Dew, baked 3,100 pizzas, and crafted 22,500 sub sandwiches just to name a few things. They’ve also met and catered delicious food to over 200,000 great people during the happy times in their lives and the not so happy times.
Speaking of catering. Main Street Market has more than 15 years of experience in the catering business. They provide cater-ing services for every special event of your life. When you hire them for catering services (business meetings, birthdays, fami-ly reunions, and weddings), Tracey and Allen Kenkel will make sure that your event has deliciously hand-crafted food so that your guests will leave happy and satisfied. They serve appetizers, special desserts or custom-made cakes. Ask about their A la carte and pickup/delivery options when you call.
Tracey and Allen want to thank all their past, present, and future customers for all the support given over the last 20 years. When they opened Main Street Market, there were seven privately owned non-chain grocery stores in Shelby County. Now there is only one. Without their customers, there would not be a Main Street Market.
To say “thank you” for all your support, Main Street Market will be running specials throughout the year. For the remainder of January and the entire month of February, you can purchase 2 – 16” single topping pizzas for $20. There will be additional specials in the upcoming months and a Customer Appreciation Cook-Out sometime this summer.
Thank you, again.
