The Phantom Screens Impact Award recognizes residential design and building professionals for using innovative products to deliver cutting edge designs that set them above the rest. Impact Award winners have proven that they are committed to enhancing lifestyles and living spaces by integrating Phantom’s retractable screen products into designs that deliver added value and comfort to today’s homeowner. The entries which Phantom Screens received this year were diverse and range in style and design. From modern and grandeur to modest and liveable - what each project had in common was an application

perfectly fit for Phantom Screens’ products. Each entrant proved that the company’s retractable screens truly enhanced the design of each home by creating transitional living spaces, adding movement to the home, or providing natural ventilation.

The winner will be selected by a panel of Phantom Screen judges and evaluated primarily on design and creativity, market appeal and livability, and product integration. The winning project will receive recognition on booth signage at the NAHB International Builders Show, a one-page advertorial feature in Builder magazine, an in-debt case study and more! Abbotsford, BC (December 6, 2016) - Phantom Screens, the leading manufacturer of retractable screens in North America, announces, a new AIA-approved continuing education course: Customizing Motorized Retractable Screens to Enhance Building Performance (PHAN 020).

According to Ross Tripp, VP of Sales for Phantom Screens, the presentation is targeted specifically to architects for CES credits but is also applicable to designers, developers, builders and remodelers, general contractors and other professional audiences.

The course outlines the various customization options of motorized retractable screens available in the industry, and shows how the selected choices for integration deliver improved building performance and functionality.

“Participants of the course will gain practical knowledge on design and planning considerations for motorized retractable screens that can help to create energy efficient homes, maintain character of space, and achieve sustainable design goals,” says Ross.

The one-hour course will provide participants with 1 Learning Unit (1 LU) towards their continuing education credits. The course is also approved for its Health, Safety & Wellness content (HSW) by the AIA/CES.

For those who are unlikely or unable to travel in order to attend the course, Phantom Screens also introduced an online course presented by Hanley Wood University. The course, entitled “Maximixing Indoor & Outdoor Living with Motorized Retractable Screens” will provide information on thermal benefits, controlling humidity while discussing the design and installation requirements.

Abbotsford, BC (November 15th, 2017) - Phantom Screens, leader in the retractable screen industry, is once again first in the market with the newest groundbreaking technology. The Phantom Motorized Wall Screen now has the ability to screen openings up to 40ft wide with a single unit!

Thanks to special technology introduced by the Phantom Screens team, motorized retractable wall screens can now cover beyond the industry standard of 25-ft wide without any bowing in the roller, or sagging in the mesh. This means that homeowners can now completely transform their living space, allowing them to utilize areas throughout the home that would typically go neglected during certain times of the year.

“These are virtually the first of its kind in the industry and will be revolutionary in blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living spaces,” says Phantom CEO - C. Abbotsford, BC (October 17th, 2017) - Phantom Screens, the leading manufacturer of retractable screens in North America, releases a new retractable wall screen for oversized door systems and large openings – now available to order across North America.

Phantom’s retractable wall screens covers doorways and openings up to 24 feet wide and 10 feet high, and disappear out of sight when not in use. They feature a thumb latch integrated into the handle for controlled openings and mesh that is completely secured into track to prevent unwanted pests. The highlight of this retractable screen is its customizable stopping points for easy in and out access, allowing home owners to personalize where they would like the screen to open and close.
