Sr. Roland’s Christmas for Kids…Thanks to
those who contributed to Sr. Roland’s Christmas
for Kids. We were able to help out 7 families,
totaling 19 children this Christmas Season. It’s
so easy to lose sight of the real meaning of
Christmas, and what better way to remind
ourselves than to look at the holidays through the
eyes of a child. A BIG THANK YOU goes out
to Ruth Zender for heading up this project once
again. Sr. Roland is smiling down on us!!
Prayerfully consider…St. John’s Big Ticket Committee 2018 OR St. John’s Fall Festival Chairpersons. St. John’s expectation for its members
includes a hope that each family share time, talent and treasure
for the good of their parish community. Contact Al Drexler 276-1264.
ST. JOHN’S LIBRARY NEWS – If you have not had a chance to read the popular novel “The Shack” or watch the DVD of the film that came out just this past year, I encourage you to do so. It’s
on the top shelf. Have a great New Year. ~Ione
Many Thanks to all who ordered cookies, gave so
generously of their time, and to those providing and serving
the delicious meals for us during our 2017 St. John's Cookie
Bake. This would not be the success that is without your
support. This year we baked 4,479 dozen cookies (a few more
than last year). That's 53,748 cookies for a profit of $17,172
plus the matching grant from CUF of $1,000! Again, thank
you for supporting our fundraiser. This enables us to
continue our mission of educating our children in the
NUACS school system. ~Carol, Sherry, Lester and Linda
We have surpassed our Heat Collection goal A BIG Thank you to all who donated to St. John’s Heat
Collection. To date we have collected $7,010; budgeted
amount $5,000. A special Thanks to the anonymous
