Walden Woods Limited Homeowners' Association – From the President

Happy New Year to all of you in Walden Woods. This month at the HOA meeting we will be swearing in the officers for the new two year term. At the December meeting attendance was the largest I have seen in quite some time. I can only hope that our HOA grows larger because the community owners need to know that the residents in Walden Woods are concerned about what is going on and what is planned for our community.

We are still waiting for Sun's response to our rent committee letter sent in November. I wish I could tell you what the owners have planned for 2018 regarding new items, upgrades or repairs. We are due to meet with Sun management in January and we are hopeful to have our concerns addressed at that time.

There will be a Meet and Greet for new residents this month so please come and meet your new neighbors. If you have not renewed your HOA dues it's not too late. I'm hoping we can gain new members at the Meet and Greet.

The Social Clubs are in full swing so let's support them by attending the events they have planned. There will be an additional pet waste station installed near the mail house and as I mention every month please utilize all of the pet waste stations provided for you and clean up after your pet. It is not their fault if you don't and there's no excuse not to. And, as always, please be aware of the speed limit in our community.

I tell everyone that brings these issues to my attention that if you see something report it to the community managers so they can do something about it. Hopefully, I will have all good news for February. Please be safe in all your travels.

Nick Fleischer, President LTD HOA, 724-996-8074

Walden Woods North Homeowners' Association – From the President Happy New Year to all Walden Woods residents! Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. Our HOA elections were held at the December meeting. Jim Johnson and Rodney Mohyer will be serving on the HOA board for another two year term. I would to like to thank Jim and Rodney for their continued service. I will be serving as President for another term and would like to thank everyone for their support last year and look forward to serving the community in the future. The Social club election was also held at the December meeting and I would like to thank Donna and Everette Faulkner and Robbie Simmons for their years of service on the Social committee. I look forward to working closely with the new Social Club committee in 2018. I would like to thank all of you that have taken advantage of our early HOA signup and encourage all of you that have not signed up to please do so. Your HOA is only as strong as your membership. We will be offering signup for HOA one hour prior to our January meeting. Just a reminder your P-1 Prospectus is a valuable tool when selling your home and should be kept in your possession at all times. Never give your prospectus to a sales representative when selling your house. You should personally give your prospectus to the new buyer. This will insure the new buyer of a CPI rent increase rather than a Market increase. If you have any questions concerning this, please contact your HOA representatives. Homeless Vets Update Hello everybody in Walden Woods and a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. Tom and I would like to report our stats for the year in collections. They are as follows: We had a grand total of 2,368 lbs of food for the year. Forty pounds of blankets and 1,500 pounds of clothes. Wonderful job everybody. Thank you so much for your generosity. We would also like to congratulate Walden Woods South for the beautiful donation of their Homeless Vet box designed by John Hickey. Also, Walden Woods South veterans are going to take over their collection of homeless vet items and donations and delivery. This will be an exciting opportunity for some of the veterans in their community to help their fellow veterans. We would like to thank everybody in Walden Woods for their support. We look forward to 2018 being an even better and stronger opportunity to help the veterans. It would be a true blessing if we had some people that would be willing to drive the Mission in Citrus. Tom Brannelly and Charlotte Mixon

Walden Woods Haw Hee 2017

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who attended our first annual Haw Hee show. Everyone worked so hard to make it the success that it was. It was a struggle at first to make each segment of the show go very quickly. We had a few mistakes which made it even funnier. The rooster was a surprise to Granpa Jones, as was the shaving cream to Bob Moore. The unexpected is the best.

I would first like to thank the committee who helped me put this together, Gloria Richard, Chris Bergeron, Esther Brunet, Barb Christy, Sally Brault and Faye Davis. Also the performers, Jack McDaniel, Craig Mixon, Ray Watts, Bob Moore, Esther, Jim MacNiell, Bob Berezney, Norm Bergeron, Faye, Dave Pearson, Mary Lou Johnson, Penny Lubischer, Trish Hollenbeck, Barb Tripp, Terri Lance, Faye Jones, Marsha Sobony, Bill Jones, Tammy Hartson, Bruce Osborne and Shirley Richardson. Once again I can’t thank Bob Crowley enough for the music, Jerry Dickerson for the lighting and Larry Johnson for the curtain. A special thanks to Ed Green and Ray Richards for all their help. Last but not least, Eric Graves for our very own announcer.

Thank you to all again for participating and all those who attended.

Ann Pearson
