Outlook for February

Data analysis of Torrance real estate activity for January 2014 relative to the same time last year revealed

a 7.1% improvement in total sales, a 6.8% increase in the median sales price, a 10% decrease in the

median days to sell, and a 23.1% decline in the months of inventory. The only quasi-negative stat is

reduction in the number of available listings, which dropped 19% year-over-year.

Looking ahead it is highly probable the month of February will produce similar stats given the cost to

borrow money remains comparatively inexpensive. The only concern is how the tax season might detract

from otherwise positive trending behavior.
