Our first (and only) meeting of December was our Annual Christmas Dinner at the Davis Cen- ter on the campus of Potomac State College. We enjoyed a great meal with many family mem- bers and friends. Some very lovely ladies also serenaded us. The highlight of the evening – especially for the young and the young-at-heart - was a visit by Santa Claus himself. You can find some pictures from this special evening on the Keyser Lions Facebook page. Our second meeting of the month was canceled because it was so close to Christmas. Our first meeting of the new year will take place on Thursday, January 3rd at 6:30 pm at Uni- versity Place on the campus of Potomac State College. The second meeting will take place on January 17th at the same time and place. WV Lions Leadership School Takes Place Later this Month It is time to make your reservations for the 17th Annual West Virginia Lions Leadership School. The School will be held January 25, 26, & 27, 2013 at Days Inn, Flatwoods, WV. Featured speakers are: Thomas Haywood, Past District Governor, Wendy Cain, Past International Direc- tor, Haynes Townsend and Rebecca Coakley. The school features a group of presenters, semi- nars, and speakers that will offer you a wide range of topics to further your leadership skills and your knowledge of Lionism. Early registration has been extended until January 7, 2013 at a cost of $100.00, after that date the cost will be $125.00. Checks are to be made payable to WV Lions Leadership School. Credit cards WILL NOT be accepted. You can find copies of the School flyer and registration form on the Keyser Lions Facebook page. Hotel reservations can be made by calling 1-866-700-7284. The following special room rates are available until January 6th: $80.10 + tax - single per night $89.10 + tax - double per night Please be sure to advise the reservation clerk that you are with the Lions Club.
