phone ministry calling seniors on a monthly basis, volunteering 2 to 3 hours a
month. Each Heart Connector calls to share Christ’s love, offers to take care of
any needs the church can provide, and shares news of upcoming events at
Harrison for senior adults, including Open Door Luncheon, playing games, going
to plays, going to the beach, or hiking. Let us know your suggestions!

Harrison has been invited to join Providence UMC to help pack 100,000
Stop Hunger Now meals as a part of the "Million Meal March," an effort
to pack one million meals for hungry children throughout the world. As
you may know, Harrison has partnered with College John Wesley in Cap
Haitian to provide lunches for the students each school day. These meals
are provided by Stop Hunger Now. If you would like to volunteer at
Providence UMC on Sunday, March 16, 2014, you may register
at http://www.providenceumc.org/resources. If possible, Harrison folks
are encouraged to help at the 2:30-4:30 shift. The online registration
deadline in January 31, 2014. For more information, please contact

January Needs:
Individual bar soap, toothbrushes,
toothpaste, packaged toilet paper. During December 2013, the Pantry served 21 families,
representing 71 people. Volunteers worked 159.5 hours and
we collected 1940 lbs. of donated food. For the entire 2013
year, we served 524 families representing 1906 people.
Volunteers served 2299.85 hours and we collected 24,731 lbs.
of food. Please get to know the volunteers and congratulate
them for their outstanding service not only to the Pantry but
also to the needy families we serve. All interested parties
