For the past two months, we ran our first “Crown Jewel Collection” contest where we gave

consumers a chance to win a beautiful limited edition picture titled “Crow War Pony-1” the

response to the contest was great and the excitement kept building up to the announcement

of our winner earlier this week. Please meet Janell Jensen.

At Janell Jensen’s farm, you will notice many horses roaming around , but you will be drawn

to a little miniature horse herd that Janell refers to as “the biscuits”. This little herd includes a

number of dwarf miniatures. Janell has a soft spot for these dwarf mini’s which she has

acquired over the years, providing these little guys a forever home, while addressing the

special needs they require. One of Janell’s first dwarf mini’s was named “Little Bit”. Because of

a birth defect, Little Bit had loose tendons which forced him to walk on the bulbs of his

hooves. Over a three year period and much trial and error, Janell finally developed “Little Bit’s

Magic Shoes”. These “Magic Shoes” are lightweight, glue on shoes with proven results to

help little dwarf miniature horses move a lot better as many have severe leg deformities and

underdeveloped limbs. Janell is a dedicated horse professional with a wealth of knowledge

on the special care these mini’s need.

very seriously. Hay and grain are both fed in moderation to her easy keepers and since the
