We hear so much about “converging signs” today. The Bible speaks about end-time signs that will increase like birth pangs near the end. I think we have passed the birth pang process, frankly.

As a popular TV preacher said, “We’re no longer in Kansas.” Like Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz”, we’re looking around and seeing that everything is different. Everything we once took for granted and considered normal has been fundamentally transformed and not for the better. This is a global phenomenon, not just an American one.

The Middle East is transformed, culture everywhere is changing, geo-politics is spinning, deception is everywhere, Christians and Jews are on the run, evil is ramping up, good is called evil like never before, and on and on.

But God is allowing it all, even if He isn’t orchestrating chaos, as He is not a God of chaos.

Have you noted recent major stories and how they confirm the words of those of us saying that things aren’t falling apart, they are falling in place. The Bible is history written in advance. It foretells all that is to happen and suggests that at the end of the age, many issues would speed up, become more intense, and become very dark.

Here are some current stories that weren’t even in play ten years ago:

• Russia and Iran are now partners in the Middle East. This is a precursor to Ezekiel 38-39, Gog and Magog.

• Magog may be stirring – Russia. She is on the march. Now she has entered Syria. We do not know that Russia is Magog and that Vladimir Putin is Gog, but they could be.

• With ISIS marching towards Damascus and the Russians involved in Syria, Syria

is begging Israel to fulfill Isaiah 17, the obliteration of Damascus.

• The United Nations, Barack Obama, the Pope, and many more, are clamoring for global government (Revelation 13). They are utilizing the cause of global warming/climate change as the “crisis” to bring about a one-world system. They have turned speculative (and probably non-existent) climate change into a “sky-is-falling” situation to scare a naïve world into one-worldism.

• Because of the increase of wickedness, love is growing cold (Matthew 24:12). Can you say Planned Parenthood and

the selling of baby parts? Have we returned to those predicted “days of Noah” where such evil as this was rampant (Matthew 24:37)?

• How about those “perilous times” (II Timothy 3)? Who

other than deluded, power-drunk men and women would give billions of dollars and nuke capacity to the mullahs who want to bring international chaos on the world so their Mahdi can return? Why would Westerners give such power to ayatollahs who want to ignite EMPs above the free world and send us back to the 1800s? Does the Mad Hatter rule? Why is empowering Iran good and Israel’s existence evil?

• Yet world leaders are crying in a Chamberlain-esque manner, “peace and safety!” (I Thessalonians 5:3) Peace and safety are not on the horizon!

• Europe is imploding. Barack Obama has dismantled America. The world is fundamentally transformed, thus it is awaiting a man who will make things right, turn darkness into day, re-distribute wealth, and more.

• The predicted evil is rising (II Timothy 3). The Hindu demon goddess Khali was beamed onto the Empire State Building a few months ago. Perhaps she is the new matriarch of America, replacing our founders’ dream of a God-inspired America. (See page 3)

• ALL nations are having “distress with perplexity” (Luke 21:28). ALL nations have dilemmas for which there are simply no solutions which is the meaning of “distress with perplexity”. All nations are battling economic problems, weather-related dilemmas, political corruption, ethnic turmoil, and more.

I could go on and on but you get the point. We can’t let breaking news interpret the Bible but we can see that a newspaper in one hand and a Bible in the other are complementary. This doesn’t have to be newspaper exegesis.

Scripture says that when we see these things BEGIN to happen, we are to lift up our heads and know that our redemption draws nigh. That BEGAN to happen in 1948 with the re-birth of Israel. How much closer are we now?

As Gary Kah said on a recent radio program, “A perfect storm is brewing yet few are preparing for it, even spiritually. This is playing into the world government plan.”

Kah further stated, “Never before have so many signs of the times manifested simultaneously. Watching the evening news is like witnessing the prophecies of Scripture unfold before our eyes. An emerging

caliphate in the Middle East; an energized Russia—thought to be dead; the global economy teetering on the brink because of insurmountable debt; the Pope making interfaith alliances with other religions. These and other headlines are setting the stage for world government that will be presented as the only practical solution in order for mankind to survive.”

Everyone who is watching the signs of the times has a sense of urgency. A sense that there is a countdown. A sense that things are not the same and will never be the same again.

As online writer Matt Ward says in a recent article, “When I look at this world today, I find it impossible to come to any other conclusion other than that we are right at the door of the Rapture/Tribulation. The stage is already set. The lighting is ready, the orchestra is waiting to play, the technicians have all tested their equipment, and the audience has now taken their seats.

“This isn’t a dress rehearsal, this is the main event. The assembled cast has already taken their places on stage and await the main protagonists to come forth. The Antichrist and False Prophet are surely nearby in the wings preparing for their grand entrance. And they will take this unbelieving world, for a time, by storm.”

No, we’re not in Kansas anymore. We don’t have a yellow brick road that leads to a fantasy land where all the good times will resume, but we do have our Heavenly Home awaiting us where all things are perfect.

America’s departure from God is obvious but in late summer an event took place that truly was a game-changer. Evil is trying to rise up and make inroads everywhere. But no one expected the Hindu demon goddess Kali to be beamed on the Empire State Building in New York City.

For those of you not familiar with the goddess Kali, she is the Hindu goddess of death and destruction. She took over New York’s Empire State Building as part of an artwork exhibition called Projecting Change by filmmaker Louie Psihoyos to raise awareness about the need to conserve endangered animals.

I am quoting a brilliant writer who posted the following article online. Geri Ungerean writes, “So now we understand that the image of the grotesque face of Kali – projected on our Empire State Building, is a message from Satan. I believe that he thinks he is winning. He is just that arrogant to think that he will be victorious over the Creator of the Universe – our Father in heaven.

“Sadly, I believe that he has been victorious over America. His hatred for us transcends the hatred for all other countries, except for Israel. Our Constitution is based upon Judeo-Christian principles, and is filled with the name of God, and how we rely upon Him. Satan loathes this. And for many years we supported Israel, until we voted in an evil king who has all but destroyed our nation. His desire is to see Israel wiped off the map. He will never see this. God will not allow it.”

The author continues, “One must wonder why anyone would feel the need to display

such a grotesque image on a landmark of NYC. Can you see how Satan glories in murder – especially of the innocents? The face of this demon Kali has a belt of severed heads. These are her trophies, much like Planned Parenthood sees the deceased bodies of aborted babies as their trophies.”

There is coming a day when there is a complete triumph over evil. Satan and his legions will be tossed into a lake of fire. Jesus prophesied through John of a future time when Satan would be bound for

1,000 years. During this time he will not be permitted to influence humanity in any way—not until the very end of the millennial rule of Christ on the earth. (See Revelation 20)

Why will God release Satan at the end of the Millennium? The Bible does not give

the answer, leaving us only to speculate on the purpose.

What is Satan’s destined end? The Bible reveals that the devil will not die, but rather that he will suffer torment. After Satan’s deception following the 1,000 years, he will be “cast into the lake of fire and brimstone” where he “will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” And that is while the believer is rejoicing in Eternity forever and ever.

He knows that ordeal awaits him. It drives him to utter madness—and to excessive end-time activity—so he is speeding up his last days’ agenda that has an ignominious end. I pray we are on the side line watching the drama as he is forever tossed into that lake of eternal flames.

Understanding the Times 2015 Conference

Our times are desperate. People are confused, angry, and searching for answers. Between six and seven thousand people attended our annual conference October 2-3 near Minneapolis. They heard six messages that helped them understand the times, contend for the faith, and make sense of today’s headlines.

Pastor Jack Hibbs reminded us how deception in the church is a prominent sign of the last days. He showed stunning clips of Pope Francis’ visit to the U.S. (seen on our DVDs). His second message

reminded us how Bible prophecy is the true comfort of the believer, even though it is ignored in most churches. The challenge

Michele Bachmann reminded us that we are in perilous times but not for the believer. She gave a warning that America has dropped the role as the global leader and the vacuum has been filled by Vladimir Putin and the Islamic world. This has terrible consequences. America has betrayed her allies, such as Israel, and befriended the world of evil. We elected an evil king who loves despots and who despises good.

Amir Tsarfati comes from a Jewish home in Jerusalem. He found the Lord by watching the “Jesus” film, in Hebrew, as a young man. His grasp of current events and Bible prophecy is brilliant. His message of Israel standing alone was timely,

insightful, and drew a standing ovation. He has served in the IDF, is an Israeli tour guide, and directs the ministry “Behold Israel.”

A State Department spokesman attempted to clarify recent remarks by Obama Administration officials regarding the recent wave of Palestinian terrorism in Israel. The clarification was more of the same verbal nonsense that encourages our enemies and demoralizes our friends.

“We recognize that incitement can go both ways here. Whether it’s action or rhetoric, it’s things that encourage others to continue this cycle of violence,” said State Department spokesman John Kirby.

Day after day, Palestinians, raised in an environment of raw hatred, have been randomly stabbing Israeli men, women and children, driving vehicles into crowds or carrying out other forms of lone wolf attacks. Yet, according to the moral midgets running our country, Israel is somehow inciting these attacks.

So what about the so-called “cycle of violence”? Are Israelis hacking Palestinians to death? No. Are rabbis urging young Jews to slaughter Palestinians? No. But Gaza imams are urging young Arabs to attack in groups with axes and knives.

On September 25th, Pope Francis gave an address to the United Nations General Assembly. In it, he presented a list of what he called U.N. accomplishments. Then he said, “Without all those interventions on the international level, mankind would not have been able to survive.”

It was a bizarre moment to hear this man praising the U.N. as mankind’s savior over the last 70 years. Because he sees the U.N. in such a lofty role, it’s only natural that he wants to give it more power — even to the point of world governance.

He said, “The experience of these seventy years since the founding of the United Nations in general, and in particular the experience of these first fifteen years of the third millennium, reveal both the effectiveness of the full application of international norms and the ineffectiveness of their lack of enforcement.”

In other words, he sees the U.N. as highly effective, except where it has lacked the ability to enforce its will. The implication is obvious. He believes the U.N. should be given the teeth to enforce its edicts on everyone.

On paper, the U.N. sounds like a noble idea. But in reality, it is a mess. And now, Pope Francis and others want to give that mess power over all our lives. With the skillful use of public relations, they have engendered a worldwide fear of global warming. The U.N. has used this “problem” to uniquely situate itself on the world stage. It is now poised for the greatest power grab in history. That power grab is called “The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”

This year has been a very active time for those in high places pursuing a new world order. Their agenda gained steady momentum throughout the spring and summer, with proponents hoping to use the 70th session of the U.N. General Assembly as a springboard to larger one-world events later this year and beyond. Answer: Along with the underlying spiritual deception associated with this push — which is leading people to embrace earth-centered/pantheistic beliefs — the treaty itself happens to be the cornerstone for the one-world agenda. Few people are aware of the fact that if this treaty is ratified it will put in place the international legal framework and infrastructure for the United Nations to enforce the treaty at the national, state and local levels — in every country of the world. Through this agreement we will all be taking a giant step into a system of world government.

Antichrist’s geo-political “warm-up act” has been preparing the way for his prime-time prophetic performance for decades. The past several years have brought dynamic re-arrangements in preparation for his appearance. One thing within the eschatological mix is often overlooked

The European Union is almost certainly the reviving Roman Empire, out of which the dark “prince” will come.

In many entertainment products from Charmed to Harry Potter to Sabrina the Teenage Witch, the heroes are typically good people – the ones using witchcraft and the occult – while the average person is portrayed as ordinary, weak, or even bad, partly because they do not have any magic powers. Therefore, the occult, the satanic, and anything related to it, are looked at as beneficial and desirable, which is a complete twisting of the concept of good and evil. We are to resist, expose, and stand against sin, not invite it into our homes.

Occult themes dominate books, movies, marketing campaigns, the Internet, and prime-time television. And children are playing right along. The darkness of the occult and witchcraft has, to a great degree, been accepted in our society, but the question we should ask is to what extent has it seeped into our churches? That may sound extreme to those who have bought what the world has been selling, but for Christians, we are instructed to not conform to this world (Romans 12:2).

Now the Russians have moved into Syria since they have seen there is no opposition in the White House. Barack Obama favors the world of terror. He favors the Communist world. He favors the Islamic world. He loathes freedom. He will not put up any opposition to Russia’s move

into Syria or any other region of the Middle East. The Russians could conquer most any region of the Middle East or North Africa and have no pushback. So why could they not be the biblical Magog? One thing is certain, Russia is successfully dictating the geo-political status quo in the Middle East and by default, is becoming the military powerhouse in the region almost overnight. As we consider these events through the lens of Bible prophecy, we need to

take the 10,000 foot view because there are many things to consider. There are alliances being forged between Russia, Iran, Syria, China, and others that are very concerning. In our

10,000 foot view of the region, there are a few key factors we should consider. In regard to the recent so called “nuclear deal,” Iran gains an estimated additional $150 billion in funds to do with what they want. People with any realistic understanding of recent history understand that Iran will continue to finalize their nuclear weapons program, threaten Israel and the U.S., fund Hezbollah and the many other terrorist groups that shed the blood of many innocent people including the blood of U.S. military personnel.

But is there a long-term Russian goal in play? Massive oil reserves were just discovered in Israel’s Golan Heights. In the last few years, Israel has discovered a vast natural gas field off of its Mediterranean coast. The Leviathan gas field is scheduled to begin production in 2017. Are these part of the “hook” referred to in Ezekiel 38:4? In the Gog-Magog War of Ezekiel 38 and 39, divine judgment will fall on Israel’s enemies. As Joel Rosenberg writes in his blog, “The Bible does not tell us exactly how this will happen, but it clearly describes a supernatural judgment. This does not appear in the text to be a war started by the Israeli Defense Forces. These do not appear to be missiles from the Israeli Air Force. There is no evidence in the text of Israeli military forces on the move and defending themselves and their nation. Perhaps Israeli leaders at that point are engaged in diplomacy, trying

to persuade the Russian leader to stand down and back off. Perhaps Israeli leaders at that time are hoping for the U.S. or the U.N. to intervene diplomatically or even militarily to protect them.” Rosenberg concludes, “Whatever the case, the text does not provide clear evidence of the Israeli military going into action to protect their country and defeat their enemies. Rather, the text indicates that the God of Israel steps in and defends Israel Himself, raining fire and brimstone down on the enemy forces and utterly destroying them — and doing so at the very last possible moment, when all hope appears to have been lost.”Is this the beginning of the end of Islam? Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper lost his election October 19 to a far left progressive. Harper was one of Israel’s few world leader friends remaining. Conservatives and Christians in Canada are grieving as Justin Trudeau promises to initiate gay marriage, climate change legislation, legalized abortion, wealth

redistribution and more progressive madness that will harm the country. People voted for “change” and will get the same mess that has come upon America. We are watching Israel be painted into the predicted Zechariah 12 scenario of standing all alone.

When I was a little girl, we often had missionaries who were home on furlough come to our church to speak. One of them I vividly remember was a missionary from China. She told a story about children in a town lining up for their one meal a day – a bowl of soup. Food was scarce, so they had to parcel it out.The line was long, but a little boy finally got to the front. He was clutching his bowl tightly. A lady filled it with soup, but then, somehow or other, his arm was jostled, and he dropped the bowl. All of his soup spilled out onto the dirt.With tears streaming down his face, the little boy dropped to the ground and he dug into the dirt with his spoon to get every bit of soup. And he ate it, dirt and all, because there was no more food for him that day.Have you ever been really hungry?I’ve been a pastor for over twenty years, and during that time, I’ve heard over and over again from people who tell about attending churches and hearing messages about Jesus’ love for them – and that’s wonderful – but they’re still hungry. They see the turbulence around them, and they long to understand what’s ahead and how to live in these days before Jesus comes again. But they’re not getting those answers in their churches.That’s a tragedy. In 2 Timothy 4:2, Paul writes: Preach the Word. As a pastor, Timothy was not required to merely know the Word or like the Word or approve of the Word. He was to preach the Word – the whole counsel of God – and to do it in season and out of season. That means pastors should preach it when it’s easy and preach it when it’s hard.Some pastors don’t preach about prophecy and how it might tie into current events because they’re afraid of rocking the boat. They don’t want people to be offended and leave the church – or maybe

they don’t know enough about the end-times and current issues from a biblical perspective to tackle the subject. But I found in my ministry that preaching the prophetic shows God’s sovereignty, His careful attention to detail, His everlasting covenants, and the wonderful plan He has for our incredible future.This past winter God began birthing something new in me – a new vision for ministry. It began as a little seed, and then it began to grow. And last April God called me to leave ministry in Arizona and come back to Minnesota to talk with Jan Markell about this vision. It’s to begin an intentional outreach to church people – in their churches – with the truth about the times in which we’re living. Jan and the Board of Directors were open to this ministry, and I came on staff at Olive Tree Ministries in August.I’d love to get to know your pastor and begin conversations. Israel is, once again, besieged by coordinated acts of terrorist violence encouraged by leaders of Hamas and the U.S.-funded Palestinian Authority.

So what’s the response of Barack Obama’s administration? Blame the Jews for the unprovoked attacks on themselves.

The most outrageous of the comments came from Secretary of State John Kerry, who linked the building of homes in Israel for the spate of stabbings and attacks on Israel civilians and soldiers throughout the country since the beginning of this month.

“So here’s the deal,” Kerry said. “What’s happening is that unless we get going, a two-state solution could conceivably be stolen from everybody. And there’s been a massive increase in settlements over the course of the last years. Now you have this violence because there’s a frustration that is growing, and a frustration among Israelis who don’t see any movement.”

What prompted the violent attacks? The building of what Kerry misleadingly characterizes as “settlements.” What are “settlements” as defined by this administration? The building of homes for Jews in Jerusalem suburbs and throughout the country – an absolute necessity because there’s a housing shortage for Israelis.

So, the solution to stopping violent attacks on Jews in Israel, according to Kerry, is simply not to build homes. But Kerry is hardly the only Obama administration official blaming the victims. Obama himself blamed, at least in part, the words spoken by Israeli officials.

“We also believe that it’s important for both Prime Minister (Benjamin) Netanyahu and Israeli elected officials, and President Abbas and other people in positions of power, to try to tone down rhetoric that may feed violence or anger or misunderstanding,” he said.

And then there’s Kerry’s spokesman, John Kirby, who blamed Israeli “acts of terror” for the rising violence against them. “I would say certainly individuals on both sides of this divide are – have proven capable of and in

our view are guilty of acts of terror,” Kirby said.

Surprising? Not really.

The Obama administration took a police shooting in Ferguson, Missouri, which it later concluded was justified after a full investigation by the FBI and Justice Department, and through its premature rhetoric, exploded it into an incendiary national propaganda campaign that resulted in violence throughout the nation, including the burning down of neighborhoods in Baltimore.

Yet, Obama criticizes “the rhetoric” of Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been characteristically circumspect and cautious about the explosive situation in Israel.

So not only is the Obama administration blaming the victims, just as it did in Ferguson and elsewhere in the U.S. in the wake of police shootings, it is accusing the Israeli government of exactly what it did months ago when similar violence swept through the U.S.

The net effect of the Obama administration’s rhetoric and policies – in both cases – results in encouraging more senseless violence, more deaths, more bloodshed. This so-called “intifada” has nothing to do with the building of much-needed new housing for Israeli civilians. It has nothing to do with Israeli words. It certainly has nothing to do with “terrorism” by Israelis.

When innocent people are attacked – whether it’s in America or in Israel or anywhere else – they have a right and duty to defend themselves. That’s the bottom line. What more needs to be said? Israelis have a right and duty to build housing for the burgeoning Jewish population in the one and only Jewish state in the world – a refuge for a generation that survived a genocidal Holocaust designed to eliminate the Jewish population of the world.

We have a new generation of Jew haters determined to finish the job started by Adolf Hitler. What American leaders need to say in response is simply, “Never again.”
