i! I’m Barnard, Balaam’s donkey, and I want to tell you about a very exciting day I had. The morning

started like any other. My owner saddled me, and we began moseying down the road when I looked up and saw a bright, white, shiny angel with a sword in its hand. It scared me so bad I ran into a field. Balaam was furious. He beat me until I got back on the road. We traveled to a place where the road became narrow with walls on both sides. That’s when the same bright angel stood in front of me again with his sword held high. I was terrified, so I pushed real close to the wall and squished Balaam’s foot. This made Balaam really mad! He beat me again! When this glowing angel blocked my path a third time, I decided that was enough, and I just sat down. This sent Balaam over the edge. He beat me and beat me, but I wasn’t moving. It’s a good thing too, because what happened next was amazing! My mouth opened and the next thing I knew I was talking! That’s right, I was giving Balaam a piece of my mind. I said, “What have I done to make you beat me three times?” What I didn’t know was Balaam had been disobeying God and couldn’t see the shining angel standing right in front of us. After Balaam and I finished our conversation he saw the angel. Now guess who was scared? The angel told Balaam he had been messing up and he better get his act together right away! Needless to say, Balaam straightened up, we finished our journey, and I never forgot that day. Take it from me, the next time you‘re playing with one of your pets and they start talking, you better start listening! And remember, it’s always a good idea to listen to God and always be obedient!
