Weberman My interest in Dr. King's assassination began with the ~ t r m p shots , photographs of three derelicts wh o were picked-up as suspects in the John Kennedy assassination on November 22, 1963, about two hours after Kennedy was shot. One of these men was a dead-ringer for the sketch of King's killer first circulated by the FBI. James Earl Ra y · . has identified this man as Raoul the man who set him up as the fall-guy in the slaying. Ray has describe Raoul as a blonde Latin who employed him on a contract basis for about one year prior to the shooting. Although Ray never found out Raoul's second name or where he lived, he was given some telephon . e numbers by him.
