What’s Eco-Friendly?

• ECO-friendly is the new step in the world today. People are finally realizing that if we do not do something to stop or even slow the production of green house gases that: a few generations from now the human race or all of life on earth with not exist.

• Just about everything you hear is about eco-friendliness. Cars, appliances even clothes are going eco-friendly. For example, if you use electricity or solar powered type appliances you are considered being eco-friendly.

Eco-friendly is something that is produced that will not harm the earth and are made naturally and the production of these can continue to sustain the earths natural ability to provide life. People could start challenging them selves to see how many ways they can become eco-friendly. Here’s a start by some fluorescent lights or getting low pressured shower heads.

New Eco-Friendly Automotives

• Automotives are really coming along when it comes to eco-friendliness. Hybrids, electric even water powered cars have been developed. These cars also produce little to no emissions at all.

• Tesla Motors has a car that is only electric. This Tesla is powered by a lithium-ion battery that is fully charged in 3.5 hours. This car can reach speeds up to 125 mph and can go from 0-60 in 3.6 seconds. This car is sporty and fuel or volt efficient it can go 245 miles before having to be recharged. The battery life is about 100 thousand miles before you see lacks of performance. The Tesla is the car of tomorrow and it is out today.

• The Honda Clarity is a new view on eco-friendliness. This car runs on water. It’s a whole different generation of cars. The Clarity produces no emissions at all. This car has a hydrogen tank and a V Flow cell stack that generates electricity. It also like the Tesla has a lithium-ion battery. It even has a personal drive unit which monitors electricity flow. Last but not least it has an electric drive motor that propels the unit.

• Toyota has come out with the Highlander. This car produces ultra low emissions. It however unlike the other cars is a hybrid. It comes in a V8 or V6 engine just incase you still want to feel some power. The Highlander can go up to 50 miles on electricity alone and still has 167 horse power. This may be one of the best hybrids produced.

Eco-friendly house hold items

• Eco-friendly house hold appliances are here and waiting to be put in your house. These appliances can save you a lot of cash. Most eco-friendly appliances do not really look all that sleek but this time they do.

• Electrolux has come out with some pretty cool appliances. Like the Electrolux stove and oven. It runs off electricity and can increase your energy savings by 10 percent. The thing about the stove is that because it runs off electricity and can get hot enough to boil water in 90 seconds. It comes in stainless steal recycled from other stainless appliances.

• The washer and dryer also can save you some money for your pockets. They also run off electricity and use half the energy than an ordinary washer or dryer. This appliance can save you abut 20 percent on energy savings. These come in stainless or in plastic recycled from old bottles, bags ect.

New Eco-Friendly

Buildings!• Building are now becoming

eco-friendly. The new Blue Cross building is going to eco-friendly. They are going to start using natural accessories like light water and all sorts of things.

• Blue Crosse’s new building will use 65 percent less energy and half the water per square foot. The energy saved could be used to power 100 local homes. They will start using efficient lights and natural lighting. They are also using water and energy conserving heating and air conditioning systems.

• Talk about a plunge they going to start using rain water for the toilets and air conditioning. For landscaping they are going to use drought resistant plants. Just about 20 percent of the building will be from recycled materials.

Keep Eco-Friendliness Close To Home!

• Organic foods may sound weird but they are healthier for you in many different ways. Markets and many other stores are trying to help costumers on what they should eat. They are beginning to label their foods by how much of a chemical is in them.

• Fish is a prime example of this they are starting to label with by how much mercury is in them. Green means that okay to eat, yellow means that you might not want to eat that many. And red means don’t eat more than two or three pieces.

• Crops are a farmer’s best friend but they use harmful chemicals on the crops like pesticides and other man made things. Organic food doesn’t have those chemicals in them they are grown naturally.

• Also when farmer use these chemicals they can lead to deforestation. Due to the fact that they rely on the resources they need to cut down trees to get them.

The Worlds First eco-friendly jet.

• I just came across an article, found on MSNBC which talks about a silent passenger jet that is being developed by a team of 40 scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Cambridge University.

• The team has unveiled their conceptual design that will look to alleviate the deafening sound of planes taking off and landing. As well, the Silent Jet will be designed to carry 215 passengers. The Silent Jet project, (dubbed the Silent Aircraft Initiative), has established a production date of y 2030. However, in order to develop the aircraft by 2030, the integration of the propulsion system with the aircraft needs to be solved.

• Eco-Friendly air travel is desperately needed and I applaud MIT and Cambridge for launching this initiative . I hope the Silent Jet team can solve their technical difficulties and expedite their efforts to launch the aircraft sooner rather than later.Articles and achieves 124 passenger-miles per gallon. The Silent Jet will be 25% more fuel efficient than current aircraft
