TALOQAN - An illegal militia commander, Abdul Awal, has al-legedly evicted some 200 Gujar tribe families from their homes in Farkhar district of northeastern Takhar province.Gul Mohammad, a resident of Kharmab locality of the district, told Pajhwok Afghan News the commander first warmed the families and later attacked their homes with heavy weaponry, forcing 200 families to flee homes and climb a nearby mountain.He further said a six-month-old child was killed in the attack that destroyed all the houses.Another resident, Khalid, said a number of women and children of the Gujar tribe were sick and in critical condition but so far no governmental official had come to their rescue. KABUL - An agreement was signed between Indian Ambassador to Kabul Manpreet Vohra and Afghan officials on Tuesday based on which India will provide $100 million USD for 108 small development projects in Afghanistan. Education and health sectors will be includ-ed in the 108 projects, officials said.

There should be no delay in the implementa-tion of the projects, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah said at the signing ceremony of the agreement.
