/ ABOUT

Jake Dolosa graduated with a Fine Arts degree in Information Design from the Ateneo de Mani la Universi ty .

In 2011, he was chosen as one of the awardees for the Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts.

He currently works as a graphic designer for Mandarin Oriental, Manila.

Aside from graphic design, he also does photography, illustration, and painting.

BRAND IDENTITY / PACKAGING

A starting pharmaceutical supplement company commissioned me for their brand identity as well as print campaign to promote their products which are organic and naturally-processed with minimal chemical additives.

The logo is a stylized rendition of a wreath of leaves -- a demonstration of the company’s commitment to organic ingredients. The logo is circular so as to represent longevity. The linear element of the circle conveys energy, dynamism, and vigor.

BRAND IDENTITY

Lynda Turet is a social designer who plans spaces with an interdisciplinary approach to cultivate a responsive environment where humans can interact more efficiently and collaboratively.

The inspiration for the logo is the concept of an enclosed space or a structure -- hence the geometrical look. Vibrant colors were used so as to balance out the otherwise industrial look of the emblem.

BRAND IDENTITY

A logo redesign of Ateneo de Manila University’spremiere theater organization, Entablado.

Opted for a straightforward yet subtle approach tothe logo, which is a simplified illustration of theater curtains. The type is an allusion to the Art Deco style -- a period reminiscent of the golden age of theaters.

IDENTITY

Logo design for Mandarin Oriental, Manila’s outdoor bar and restaurant. A simple typographical treatment was used but given a playful element through the two o’s which are made to resemble like water bubbles.

A modern approach was used for the latest campaign for Tin Hau, Mandarin Oriental, Manila’s premiere Chi-nese restaurant. Dimsums were treated as individual artworks, like sculptures, commanding awe for its artisanal quality and an invitation to eat Chinese food at its finest.

For The Tivoli’s campaign, the visual art concept was retained to tie up both the hotel’s outlets. Inspired by abstract art and landscape architecture, the photo de-picts food as though a painting plated on canvas.

An invite to Mandarin Oriental, Manila’s ConnectionPlus launch party. The Asian theme was conveyed through the use of textures -- different Asian textile patterns that illustrate the vibrant and diverse Asian culture.

A print advertisement for Mandarin Deli promoting breads. Warm tones were used so as depict the warmth of the freshly baked breads. The photo was even shot while the breads are still baking in the oven, which adds to its rustic and artisanal appeal.

Chosen as one of the finalists for the Artwork Shirt Design contest. The design was inspired by Pintados, pre-colonial Filipino warriors with full body tattoos of different geometric patterns, as well as Filipino indigenous textile.
