Topic: Creating a model to better the success rate of projects by

focussing on a systemic approach.

Jacques Pietersen, age 38, married with two (almost three kids). I

have always worked in a project environment. Started off at Murray

and Roberts, then went to the army for 8 years, left to the private

sector, but always worked in projects.

I’ve done my Technical Diploma, MBA, PMP and also used to be a registered

draftsman. Started off in construction project, then military projects, again

construction and now in mining construction projects (currently at Anglo American –

Kumba Iron Ore Sishen). Total project experience is about 19 years. Current projects

vary from R30mil to R340mil with a total portfolio of about R550mil.
