Writing Spaces SectionThe idea behind the writing spaces links strongly to the concept of clustering to a whole. Each space is a 3m x 3m x 3m room in which the writers can find isolation. Between these spaces the writers can then discuss ideas or go to the communal areas to take a break and look back towards Gateshead for inspiration.

The writing spaces themselves are then split from the more extroverted social functions of the building to ensure a greater overall functionality (whilst maintaining links between both)
