JACKSON POLLACK

January 28th 1912-August 11th 1956

Jackson Pollack was the first abstract American painter to

be taken seriously in Europe.

Jackson was known as the “all over” painter because he would pour paint

rather than using brushes and a palette. He would spread his canvas across the floor and would drip and

dribble with complete control.
