High School and Pasadena Jr. college named region’s MVP in baseball

1941 university’s 1st student to win varsity letters in four sports

1941 graduated and played for semi-professional Honolulu Bears

1941-1944 he served as 2nd lieutenant in United States Army

In 1944 Robinson played in the Negro League because of segregation

Robinson joined Montreal Royals in 1945, he moved to Florida to begin spring

In 1949 won National League Most Valuable Player

He retired January 5, 1957 and inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962

Died October 24, 1972
