Jacketeer AudtitionsStudents who are interested in auditioning for "The Finest Ladies of Alvin" must attend an informative meeting on Tuesday, March 5that 6pm in the AHS Cafeteria. This meeting will provide insight to the expectations of the Jacketeer dance team, policies and tryoutprocedures. Parent & student must be present.

Dual Enrollment ProgramAre you interested in earning college credits that will transfer to the university of your choice? Or, are you interested in getting acollege certificate while in high school? Join the Dual Enrollment Program at the Computer Lab in the Library, during Power Hour, onTuesday, March 5th. Ms. Treviño will be available to answer your questions and help you apply for admissions to the college.

ACC Scholarships for SeniorsSeniors. ACC scholarship applications are now available on the ACC website. You can also access directions on Alvin High School'sCollege and Career Center page under Scholarship Central. The deadline is March 6 so start today.

AHS Pre-UIL Concert

The Alvin High School Choir would like to invite you to the AHS Choir Pre-UIL Concert. It will be held this this Thursday, March 7th, at7:00 pm in the auditorium. See details in the flyer below.

AHS AP Exam PrepAdvanced Academics has updated their AP Exam Prep information and the AP Super Saturday Review Sessions. For moreinformation on dates, times and locations of review opportunities, see the flyers below

Dual DegreeAre you pursuing a Dual Degree? Seniors, if you are planning to graduate with a Dual Degree, make sure to apply for the ACCgraduation through the ACC Pod, if you have questions meet with Ms. Trevino in B-105, or email her. The graduation applicationdeadline is April 11th.

TSI TestingTime is ticking away if you have Dual Enrollment Classes planned for next year. You must take the TSI Test before April 26th to enrollin Dual Enrollment Courses with ACC. Alvin High School will be offering TSI Saturday Test Dates on March 23rd and April 13th. Thetest begins promptly at 7:30 am in the AHS Library. You only need to pay for the sections of the test that you have not passed. If youneed to take only 1 section of the test the cost is $15. Price for 2 sections up to the full test is $25. Seating is limited for these tests.See a counselor to register while seats are available.

Junior Achievement Scholarship AvailableJuniors. Junior Achievement of Brazoria County Class of 2020 Scholarship is now available. The scholarship application is on AlvinHigh School's College and Career Center page under Scholarship Central. The deadline to turn in the completed scholarshipapplication to your counselor is May 3.

ACC Amazing RaceSeniors if you are interested, ACC will be hosting The Amazing Race to College again this year. This is a great opportunity to go on aself-paced tour and enjoy activities around the campus and lunch at ACC. You can pick up a permission slip or turn yours in to Ms.O’Rosky in B 108.
