• Then life and work of jack Kerouac was full of happiness and sorrow. In 1922,march12th jack Kerouac was born. Jack Kerouac's poetry was great. In his late life he had jobs and got married. His death made him famous. Jack Kerouac childhood was hard.

EARLY YEARS• Jack Kerouac was born in Lowell,

Massachusetts. Jack had a brother Gerard who always watched over him. His father name was Leo Kerouac who died of stomach cancer in 1946. His first language he learned was French. He was 5 when he learned English. He went to an all boy high school. The sports jack participated in were football, baseball, chess team, liberal arts, and he ran track. He quit football because he got in a fight with his coach. In 1940 the second game of the season he broke both of his legs. As jack was in school he was very smart for a sixth grader so he skipped the sixth grade. Jack Kerouac brother Gerard died of rheumatic fever, (At the age of 9). Jack Kerouac first started playing football at the age of seventeen. He got a big scholarship for football.

DEATH• Jack Kerouac died at home

on his couch in St. Petersburg, Florida on October 21,1969 at age 47. He died from internal bleeding due to long-standing abuse to alcohol, after jack Kerouac died his work has became more popular. Till this day jack Kerouac books have been selling well. A lot of the money that they got for the books goes to a poetry club for kids. If I seen one of his books I would buy it.

Conclusion

• The things that interested me the most are his poetry. The reason was it interested me is because it had rhythm. And me being a musician and all I like rhythm. Another thing that interested me was that he joined the navy in world war 2. There were a lot more things that interested me to like he got published at 17 and that he was a sports reporter.
