First Ja'amiah Muhammadiyah MonthlyAssembly

This past Month, the students at Ja'amiah Muhammadiyah (Bolton),were busy organising, promoting and fully participating in the first

ever JM Monthly Assembly.From the moment our head-teacher, Shanaz Begum, announcedanother one of her plans to improve the Ja'amiah, we – the students – jumped right into the task. We set about designing promotional

leaflets, advertising the upcoming event via social media, formulatingideas for potential role-plays to perform and in general creating a

hum in the community about the approaching assembly.Immersing ourselves in preparation, we left no stone unturned in our

strife for an excellent presentation and before we knew it, we had

orchestrated a full-blown assembly!

م س ا ول ة ح م و ر تع ر I thank and praise Allah Taa’la that the daughters of Ummah Muhammadiyah are striving to conveythe message of our Prophet Muhammad [Peace be upon Him] to new fronts and different channels.

I congratulate the students of Jaamiah Muhammadiyah and their teacher who has initiated thischannel of Dawah. In future it will become the news letter of the entire branches and the Prophetic

path. They have requested this unworthy servant to write a few lines and some Naseehah.I am forwarding a part of wisdom and guidance from Sayyiduna Abdul Azeez Ad Dabbagh RA

as all credit goes to Him for all the goodness emerging through these institutions.He, May infinite mercy of Allah ل و :shower on him, says ع

"These three months are very important in the spiritual world and for the spiritual development of theseeker. This is why the Prophet (Alaihis Salaam) would recite;

ن و غ ب و ش ج ي ر ك ل ف ر م ضل ر The seeker should see this month (Rajab) as month of rectification, Sha'baan as a month of

implementation and Ramadhan as month of reward and a manifestation of the hard work put in. Soit's rectification, implementation and manifestation of whatever you have sown in the previous

months.In reality the month of Ramadhan is reflection of a person's whole years deeds. So know that if theseeker wishes for a good and blissful Ramadhan then they need to start now if they haven't done so

already. Rectifying their sinful deeds and ways or at least putting a stop to the sinful ways and lifestyleand establish their relationship with Allah Azzawajal. Then in Sha'baan implement as much as possible

the good deeds, the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) as this is His month thusestablishing your relationship with the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and then in Ramadhan it

will portray the reflection of the good deeds performed during those months.The momentum of carrying out good deeds will maintain the seeker and help him become steadfastupon those deeds. Thus these three months are rectification, implementation and reflection.

Onwards and UpwardsAlthough, this Academy of Islamic Sciences, has been up andrunning for barely a year in Bolton, it has progressed in leapsand bounds, achieving so much along the way.For one, our Head-teacher – Shanaz Begum – has introduced aninnovative new curriculum known as “The Step-Up Programme”,for the Children’s Course This will make the transition for learners,between the Children’s Stage and Aalimah Stage, far smoother.As well as this, at Ja’amiah Muhammadiyah, Bolton, we offer aFoundation Level Diploma that has been specifically designed toensure that students can progress from one stage to the next fullyequipped and capable of handling the intensive Aalimah Course.As far as we are aware, such forward-thinking programmes arenot available anywhere else in Bolton.

Not only this, this Monthly Newsletter marks the first to be issuedacross any of the Ja'amiah Muahammadiyah centres, nationwide.

Upon it's implementation, the newsletter will improvecommunication between the Madrassa and Parents by allowingparents - and the wider community – an opportunity to gaininsight into the studies at this Ja'amiah. Furthermore, notificationsand crucial information will reach those it may concern in aseamless fashion.

These are but a few of the ground-breaking initiatives that havebeen/will be put into place, throughout the near-future,ploughing Ja'amiah Muhammadiyah onwards and upwards. Each

of these movements will be building momentum for the Ja'amiahuntil guidance has been granted to as many people as possible .

Getting into the community spirit, thestudents of Ja'amiah Muhammadiyah,hosted a fun-day, on Friday 23 rd May,for children and adults alike. Friends,neighbours, peers and family allattended this much-anticipatedgathering. Ranging from Abayas tochildren's toys, we sold it all since stallswere occupied by not only students, butlocal entrepreneurs also. Overall, theevent was a huge success and we weregranted the opportunity to fulfil anotherSunnah of the Messenger of Allah –

Dawah.
