Vacation Bible School will be held

July 26-30th here at New Hope. Our

theme this year is “Hometown

Nazareth” and we will hear about

Jesus’ life from his mother Mary and

visit Nazareth. Registration forms are

on the back table or you may register

SUMMER FOOD DRIVE BEGINS: Most food pantries struggle over the

summer months to keep their shelves stocked because donations tend to decline.

We are going to help fight this slump. Please bring in your donations of non-

perishable food items during the month of July. We will gather as much food as

we can and help keep our brothers and sisters nourished and fed. WE NEED

YOUR HELP!!!!!

Men’s Prayer Breakfast will be held on Saturday, July 11th at 8:00 a.m. at

Railside. The cost of the breakfast and gratuity is $10.00. Please sign up on the

sheet located on the Hospitality Table.

The next Youth Groups Event is Friday July 17th. We will be going to Haar’s

Drive in together! Sign up on the sheet on the Hospitality Table. Join us for

some fun and fellowship as we go to the Drive In together. Parents are welcome

to sign up to drive. We will meet at New Hope at 6 p.m. and head to the Theater.

Cost is $8. You should bring spending money for the concession stands!

The Fellowship Committee is sponsoring a trip to

Sight and Sound to see “Joseph” on Saturday, October 3

at 6:30 p.m. There is an optional family style dinner at

Hershey Farms at 4:00 p.m. Ticket pricing and sign-up

will be available on the Hospitality Table. Please make

checks payable to Stephanie Bentzel.

Gabriel’s Project in need of supplies. This ministry that serves

families with small children and babies is in urgent need of

supplies! They are currently helping 168 families and 4 new babies.

They are in desperate need of diapers size 3, 4 and 5, baby bottles

and stage 2 baby foods with current dates. (No Expired Items

please) They are also in need of baby wash. Please help us gather

these items and place them in the back of our worship center. If you

have any questions please speak to Linda Stonesifer.

Prayer Slips-You will notice in the chair pockets

blue prayer slips. If you would like to include

someone in the prayers of the community during

worship this morning please place their name on

the prayer slip and pass it to the center aisle. Please

hand them to Pastor as he moves up the center aisle

at the beginning of the worship service. PLEASE

WRITE LEGIBLY!!

New Hope to Broadcast Sunday Service! Our worship

service is now being broadcast on WHVR 1280 AM

from 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. If you would like to sponsor the

broadcast in memory or honor of someone you may sign

up to do so. The cost is 50 dollars. There can be more

than one sponsor on a given Sunday. Your dedication

will be broadcast as part of the radio program. If you

have any question please see Pastor Tim.

New Hope Drive In Theater-On Friday July 24th

we will be hosting our very own drive in Theater.

Popcorn, hot dogs will be

available and we will enjoy a

“family friendly” movie. All

you need is a lawn chair or a

blanket to sit on. Movie will

begin at dusk. Please join us for

a great night of fun!!

Don’t forget to bring

in our Aluminum

Cans. There is a can

located by the coat

racks in the entrance

area in which you can

drop them off.

PRAYER JAR-You will notice a large jar sitting on the

hospitality table as you come to worship at New Hope. Many

folks have said they don’t feel comfortable speaking out loud

or sharing their prayer concerns during announcement time.

So now you can place your prayer concerns in our prayer jar

and we will pray over the jar every Sunday. So bring your

prayer concerns, or you can write them on the paper provided

and place them in our prayer jar.

Items needed for Vacation Bible School:

canopies, blankets (south-western style), new

sheets, baskets, and plastic plants. Please

place them on the VBS Collection Table in

the choir room. We are also in need of Baby

Food Jars. Please bring your jars to church

with you and help us make this event a great

success!

Annual Church Picnic will be

held on Sunday, August 16th at

Irishtown Fire Company

beginning at 12:00 p.m. More

information to follow.

On Wednesday July 15 Littlestown will be holding a parade

beginning at 6:30 p.m. New Hope will have a float in the parade.

We are looking for children who would like to ride on our float. If

your child would like to ride please speak to Pastor Tim. All they

need is a fishing pole!! (Or a stick with

a string) Everybody else be sure to go

watch the parade and cheer on New

Hope! Musicians Needed: We are searching

for folks who would like to be part of a

praise band to lead worship for us. If

your or someone you know plays the

acoustic guitar, bass guitar or drums

please speak to Pastor Time or Debbie

Jo. We are excited to begin forming this

band, and we need you help to do that!

New Hope Fundraiser will be held on

Sunday July 19th at Buffalo Wild Wings

in Hanover. BWW will donate 10% of

our total sales that day back to New

Hope. All you need to do is take a ticket

located on the Hospitality

Table and go enjoy lunch

or dinner at BWW that

day. It’s that easy!! Be

sure to take a few

friends.

ROTATION SUNDAY SCHOOL IS

COMING THIS FALL!! A new and

exciting model of Sunday School will be

offered this fall for our children. If you

would like to be involved in the Rotation

Sunday School please join us for an

informational meeting on Thursday July

16th at 7:00 p.m. This is a very exciting

opportunity for us and we hope you will

be involved. Please see Pastor Tim if you

have any

questions.

Ushers Meeting will be held on Monday July 13th at

7:00 p.m. All Ushers and especially Captains are

encouraged to attend this meeting with Pastor.

We are searching for all students who are

going into the 7th grade. If your child will be

entering the 7th grade this fall please let Pastor

Tim know.

On Sunday October 11th we will be hosting Pastor Paul Oman and his special ministry known as “Drawn to

the Word” Pastor Oman is a biblical storyteller/artist who will be sharing the Gospel while at the same time

painting a mural of the story right before our very eyes. There is a significant cost to having Pastor Oman with

us and we are looking for folks who would like to help sponsor this special event. Please prayerfully consider

helping make this event a possibility for our community. If you are interested please consider one of the fol-

lowing options:

All gifts are greatly appreciated and will help make this outreach event a great success.

Chicken Barbeque Fundraiser will be held on August 1st. A

group of energetic and enthusiastic volunteers has come

forward to put together a BBQ on Saturday August 1 to

raise much needed funds for New Hope. Cost of ticket is

8.00 Your dinner includes chicken, baked potato,

applesauce, rolls and butter. Dinners will be served

beginning at 12 noon! Tickets are available for purchase

today. We also need each of you to take a few tickets to sell

to neighbors and friends. We want to make this a huge

success so please pitch in and sell a few tickets!!

photos on them. There is a copy available for
