Department of ISE established in 1999 with a vision to emerge as a center of academic excellence by producing competent professionals to meet global challenges in the field of ISE tech. Department currently headed by myself Dr Chayadevi M L have more than 17 years of teaching experience.

Soft-skill programs are conducted through the placement cell for the overall personality development of the student. Most of our stu-dents are well placed in fortune 500 companies. Many of our students have published and presented their research papers in reputed National/ International Journals and Conferences. Many of our Alumni joined MS programs in the leading and reputed Universities across the globe. Under the R & D activity, RPS project has been taken up by the de- partment and successfully completed. Furthermore, project proposals are in pipeline.

From the Desk of HoD

Our department offers BE in Information Science with intake of 90 students. It is strengthened by well qualified faculty members whose main aim is to make students aware of latest technology with competence, commitment and team work. It also has state-of-art laboratories and library facility for staff and students. Most of the faculty members are actively involved in research work and have published paper in Nation-al / International conferences.

Networking Workshop – TechkritiA Networking workshop – "Techkriti" was organized at zonal level on 12th and 13th of Feb 2016 by the Department of ISE. This was in association with IIT Kanpur and Azure Skynet. The speakers were from IIT. Students of VI sem from various colleges participated in the event. Mrs Sowmya K.N and Mrs Anitha P were the Faculty coordinators.

Workshop on Node.jsA Two Day Student Development Program on WebApp Development using Node.Js on 19th and 20th Feb 2016 was organised by the Department of ISE.

Pavan Kumar, an alumni of ISE was the speaker. Students from various colleges participated in the work-shop. It was targeted for the VI and VIII sem students. As a part of workshop an introduction was given on "Importance of Testing in Web Applications" on 19th. Pawan Somayaji was the speaker. Nagamani N P and Rekha P M were the faculty coordinators of the event.

The 2nd National Conference on Advancements in Information Technology – NCAIT 2016 was held on May 2nd and 3rd. This was held under the department forum Samyog. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Srikanth Chandresekran,Director, Standards and technology, IEEE India and delivered a key note address on recent IEEE standards.

NCAIT 2016

Inauguration function was presided by Dr. Mritunjaya V Latte, Principal, JSSATEB. Inaugural function followed by three technical events like paper presentation, project presentation and poster presentation.

Students from various colleges participated in the event. The coordinators for the event were Nethravathi B and Anil B C.

Technical Talk Industrial Visit

An Industrial Visit to CTS was arranged on 12th March 2016. Students of VI sem and VIII sem along with the faculty members – Mrs Nagamani N P and Mrs Rekha P M. D Janardhana and Anil B C visited the campus. A seminar on Innovations and Ideas in CTS was arranged.

A Technical Talk on Tera Data and Hadoop was conducted on 27th Feb 2016. The speaker was Sridhar Raju, alumni of ISE. Students of IV, VI and VIII semester students participated in the event. Nagamani N P coordinated the event.

Student Achievements

1. Yuvaraj Barsara of VIII sem cleared the CAT and got admission in IMT GHAZIABAD, IMI DELHI, TAPMI MANIPAL.

2. Shlaghana, Darshini and Jeevitha of VIII sem 'B' secured the first place in project exhibition in NCAIT-2016.

3. Pavan V, Akash N G and Punith B M of VIII sem 'B' secured the second place in project exhibition in NCAIT-2016.

4. Siddalingesh, Hanishree and Anish Agarwal of VIII sem secured the first place in Paper Presentation in NCAIT 2016.

5. Ankith Agarwal, Ashwin Bhombore, Aayush Baro-lia of VIII A secured the first place in Poster Presentation.
