Step 1 Download and Install Metatrader

We recommend using the Metatrader Platform provided by BasicFX. We have seen the best results using their software. Since the IvyBot has become such a widely acclaimed success, we were able to negotiate a custom deal with the BasicFX Brokerage Firm. They know about the IvyBot software and are currently offering an EXCLUSIVE 500 USD bonus on your deposit*.

The $500 bonus credit is subject to the client completing at least 180 full lot closed trades within the first 60 days of the account approval. ForexMeta, not the IvyBot developers, provide the bonus. Other brokers do not provide this signup bonus.

First, login to the “Member’s Zone” section on the site www.ivybot.com/members. OR if you are lucky enough to be one of the few VIP members, please login to www.ivybot.com/vipmembers . Your E-mail address is the email you signed up with and your password is your click bank receipt number. You r click bank receipt number can be found in your email address and is from clickbank.com. If you can’t find your password, please go to www.Ivybot.com/members and click the “Forgotten your password?” button. Once you are in the member’s login area, scroll down to Step 1. There you will find a link that says, Download.

Go ahead and click the Download button. You will have a new web page pop up where you will be able to choose between a live account or a demo account. Of course we recommend using a Demo account if you are new to trading Forex. But if you are ready to open a real live trading account, choose Live Account.

Whichever you choose, begin by filling in the appropriate information. First Name…….Last Name……..Phone Number…….Email Address…..and Country. Once that is complete, click Submit. If you cannot click send then you will have to try doing so from a different web browser. You will get another pop up labeled “Download Demo Software.” Click that and you will receive another pop up asking you whether you want to run or save…

Click “Run” and the platform will begin to download. After it has downloaded, click “Run” again and the Platform will begin installing. The next pop up will guide you through the Platform installation. Choose your language. Once you have done that, click next.

Click next again, and then you will be prompted to the user agreement, you can read it if you like, but once you have done that, check the “Agree” box and click next again.

You will then have to choose a root folder, the default will be given, and it is best to leave it at the default, so go ahead and click next.

The next two areas are not important, so click next until you are complete. One you have completed the installation, the platform will refresh and upload itself.

You should see a set of charts and you should get a pop up that says “Open an Account” at the top. This pop up is in reference to a new demo account, not a live trading account. Any amount inputted into the deposit field is demo funds. You will need to fill this out. If for whatever reason you don’t see this open an account page, please go to file and select open an account. The leverage section refers to how much money you will put up for every trade. The higher the leverage, the less money you put up on every trade, and vice versa. We recommend leaving at 200 to 1. Under deposit, please choose what amount you want to use in your demo account. If you want to use less than what is offered, just type it in. Make sure to check the box in the bottom left hand corner for the FREE subscription. Once you have completed all the sections, click next. You will have the option to choose a server. There is only one, so click next again, and in the final stage you will be provided with a username and password. Please write those down because they will be useful in the future. You have now completed Step 1. Step 2 will guide you through downloading the IvyBot.

Step 2 Download and Install IvyBot

In order to proceed to Step 2 you need to have downloaded the Metatrader Platform, as performed in Step 1. For a video on how to download Ivybot, login to the members area(), go to step number 2, and click on “Watch Video”. Once again you need to login to the “Member’s Zone” section and scroll down to Step 2. There you will find a link that says, Download. Go ahead and click it. You should get a pop up to download the IvyBot EUR/USD EX4 file.

Choose Save. You will be prompted to choose a folder to save the file in.

Click on “Desktop” and click SAVE. Once you have saved the zip file on the desktop, you need to extract the folders. Right click the zip file and choose extract here.

Once you have the 5 files on your desktop, you need to drag the 4 .ex4 files into the correct folder. This PDF should be the fifth file. The root destination is Computer/C:DRIVE/Program Files/ BasicFX/Experts. Please see the images below: Double click “Computer”

Then Double click “C: Drive”

And Then “Program Files.”

Then you need to locate the folder titled “Basic FX” and double click that.

Finally, double click “experts”

You need to drag and drop the 4 IvyBot files into this folder

It is that easy! If your Metatrader platform is open, you will need to close it and reopen it. Otherwise, you will then need to bring up the Metatrader Platform, and follow the instructions provided in the video for Step 3.

Step 3 IvyBot Configuration and Setup

Once you have downloaded Metatrader and all of the IvyBot files you will have to set Ivybot up on the trading platform. You should have an icon on your desktop, double click it.

Once the platform comes up, you will need to choose the proper chart currency pairs and time frame. You may have a few default charts, but you can bring up a brand new chart. We will first set up the IvyBot EUR/USD version. In the top left hand corner click the green plus sign and choose EURUSD.

You will then have a fresh chart pop up. Once you have the proper currency pair, change it to the H1 time frame. You can do this by clicking the H1 icon on the top of you tool bar.

The next step will be to input the IvyBot EUR/USD Expert Advisor onto the chart you have set up. Locate the Navigator box on your platform. It is most often found on the left hand side of the platform, below the Market Watch, where all the quotes are. If you do not see it, go to View and click Navigator. Once you have located that area, double click Expert Advisors and you should get a list of Experts that are saved on your platform. Locate IvyBot EUR/USD, click on it and drag and drop it on the chart that you set up, EURUSD H1.

You will get another pop up. You will need to make some adjustments within that pop up. First, under Common, make sure you have these settings.

Once you have done that, click the Inputs tab that is to the right of the Common tab. You will see a number of Inputs. These can be changed depending on your risk tolerance, balance, and trading objectives. You will first see the default settings. There are three inputs that can be changed; TakeProfit, StopLoss, and Lots.

Take Profit This is the Pip level (number of ticks) that the IvyBot is looking to make on a trade. If you want smaller less risky trades, you can lower it. If you want larger riskier trades, you an make it larger. Ivybot’s default Take Profit varies depending on the currency pair.

c

StopLoss This is the Pip level (number of ticks) that the IvyBot is looking to risk on a trade. If you want smaller less risky trades, you can lower it. If you want larger riskier trades, you camake it larger. Ivybot doesn’t use Stop Loss in the normal sense. Ivybot uses internal indicators to determine its stops, not equity. If you are more comfortable w

n

ith a stop, feel ee to put one in, otherwise, leave it blank and let Ivybot handle the trade.

fr

Lots This is the size of every trade that is placed. This has to be changed to fit your account size. Here is a break down of what you need to change your lots to depending on your account size.

$2,250 – And Up 1.0

Account Size Lots $100 - $250 0.05 $250 - $500 0.1 $500 - $750 0.2 $750 - $900 0.3 $900 - $1,250 0.4 $1,250 - $1,500 0.5 $1,500 - $1,750 0.6 $1,750 - $2,000 0.7 $2,000 - $2,25 0 0.8

For Ivybot recommendations on more aggressive trading, see the section at the end of this PDF called Trading Styles and Optimization

Clickbank Code You will also need to enter your click bank receipt number into the Clickbankcode column. This is to protect Ivybot from fraudulent users and counterfeiters. Please find our clickbank receipt number in your primary email address. When you’ve found your

receipt number, enter it into the column below:

make sure the expert advisor button at the top of your terminal is licked to the on position. This is indicated by a green play button next to the word

“Expert Advisors”.

If Ivybot is installed properly, you should see a smiley face in the upper right hand corner of the chart, and also text in the upper left hand corner of the chart. Like this…

We will next set up the IvyBot USD/JPY version. In the top left hand corner click the green plus sign and choose USDJPY (as we did for EUR/USD), this will add a USD/JPY chart to your platform. You will again have to change the timeframe by clicking on the H1 icon on the top of you tool bar. The next step will be to input the IvyBot USD/JPY Expert Advisor onto the chart you have set up. This is done the same way as with the EUR/USD IvyBot. Locate the IvyBot USD/JPY expert advisor in the navigator window and drag and drop it onto the USD/JPY chart. You will get another pop up. You will need to make some adjustments within that pop up. Just like with the previous EUR/USD version, make sure you have these settings.

Then, click the Inputs tab that is to the right of the Common tab. You will see a number of Inputs. These can be changed depending on your risk tolerance, balance, and trading objectives. You will first see the default settings. There are three inputs that can be changed; Take Profit, Stop Loss, and Lots. Once you have all the settings properly input, click OK. As with the EUR/USD chart, you should have a smiley face in the upper right hand corner and a few lines of text in the upper left hand corner. You need to repeat the above steps for the EUR/JPY and USD/CHF currency pairs. You start by opening charts for the respective pairs. Please contact our support or Robotsetup.com for assistance.

Step 4

Open Live Account When you are prepared to unleash IvyBot on a live trading account, proceed to BasicFX.com to open a live trading account.

Step 5

Download and Install Bonus Indicators To download the IvyBot Bonus Indicators, you need to be logged into your Member’s Zone page. There you will find two “Download” links, one for each of the indicators. Please follow the same steps for downloading both indicators. Choose which indicator you want to download and click “Download.” You will then get a pop up, choose save.

Click save and choose the correct folder to save your indicator. The proper folder will be located in you’re My Computer/Local Disk C/Program Files/Basicfx/Experts/Indicators.

If you have the Metatrader still up, you will need to close it and bring it back up again, to ensure that it reads the new added files. You can find the Metatrader icon on your desktop, double click it.

Once the platform comes up, you will be able to place both indicators on any chart of your choice. Locate the Navigator window on the Metatrader Platform. Then double click the Customer Indicators link and locate the Indicator you want to use.

One you have found the indicator of choice, click on it, and drag it onto the chart that you want it to trade on. You will get a pop up allowing you to change some parameters. Both of the bonus indicators have default settings already programmed so you will not have to change anything. Just click ok and you will see the indicator placed on you chart.

Market Watch

The Market Watch Indicator is a mixture of the legendary ADX Indicator and Bollinger Bands. It measures the strength of a market trend. As the market trend increases, the Market Watch will give you an indication of the strength of the trend. If it is a strong

trend to the up side, you will see increasing green bars. If it is a strong trend to the down side, you will see increasing red bars. If the trend is dying down or loosing its strength, the bars will begin to print even bars, or even decrease. The Market Watch indicator is great for measuring the strength of a move and seeing when that move begins to fade.

Session Profile

The Session Profile Indicator highlights on your chart the three major Forex trading sessions. The colors of the sessions can be changed to your liking. The first Gold trading session highlights the Open, Close, High, and Low of the Asian Trading Session. Then it overlaps with the European trading Session, which is in Brown. Then the final US Trading Session is highlighted in Green. This indicator helps in seeing what parts of the world are moving the market. It is a great way to see when new daily highs or lows are being formed. Ivybot Optimization Ivybot is founded on principles that work in the forex markets, this is evident through it’s back tests, forward tests, and live results. The way Ivybot keeps raking in the money is through a process called optimization. As already mentioned, Ivybot’s core principles are market tested and proven to work. However, there are smaller details of the system that must be tailored to current market conditions. When markets begin to change (volatility, liquidity, certain price actions) Ivybot switches trading styles to apply the most appropriate trading algorithm to the current conditions. For example, if Ivybot used two moving average crosses (say 21 crossing the 55) for a buy trigger, Ivybot could run an optimization to see which periods

crossing each other would have produced the greatest profitability. The 21 period moving average crossing the 55 period moving average may have been the most profitable combination for 2008, but running an optimization for January 2009 may have shown the 8 crossing the 14 would have been more profitable due to higher volatility. While the underlying premise of using moving averages to extract profits is still true, the system needs to be optimized and tailored to current market conditions. Under the optimization schedule, Ivybot would have tested every single moving average combination from moving average 1 (5-200) crossing moving average 2 (5-200) to reveal which combination would have produced the greatest profit. The results are then weighted towards recent market conditions while still keeping the underlying principles of the strategy. Ivybot has hundreds of parameters that are constantly being optimized to keep you up to date with the most recent market conditions. Because Ivybot is such a complete strategy, optimization only needs to take place a few times a year. When we experience a change in market conditions, the Ivybot is re-optimized and you are notified that an update has been released. Aggressive Ivybot For more aggressive traders seeking increased trading action, there are certain parameters that can be switched to increase trading while maintaining profitability, see the settings below.
