SWACHHATA PAKHWADA

Swachhata Shapath Day

Day 1 of the Swachh Bharat activities was conducted on 2/9/19. Ms.

Sakshi Dhingra, PGT, administered the Shapath (oath of cleanliness).

Students of Grades 9 to 12 assembled for the oath ceremony. Sports

educators and Academic faculty joined the students in their endeavour to

promise to keep their home and surroundings clean and hygienic.

Swachhata Awareness Day 03/09/19

Day 2 of Swachh Pakhwada began with students of Grade 8

participating in highlighting the importance of cleanliness in our homes

and society by delivering a speech and thereby creating an awareness

about cleanliness being the need of the hour. Ms. Prabhneet Kaur,

English co-ordinator and Educator apprised the students with vital facts

and information on the topic.

Swachhata Pakhwada - Community Outreach Programme

This was conducted on 04/09/19. Mr. Saurabh Sewla, H.O.D. Science and Biology

Educator enthusiastically led the students of Grade 10 to a nearby slum inhabited

by labourers engaged in construction work. They were made aware of the need &

importance of clean and green surroundings. Young Ivyians spoke to the slum

dwellers about the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and apprised them

on the need and importance of brushing ones teeth daily, regular bathing and how

to keep their surroundings free from flies and mosquitoes.

Swachhata Pakhwada - Green School Drive 06/09/19

Around 60 students of Grade IX participated in the 'Green School Drive'

activity conducted on 06/09/19. Ms. Jyoti Singh, Physics Educator led

the students in this endeavour and explained the importance of creating

and maintaining a clean and green environment. Students discussed the

ways to save our Planet including planting of more and more saplings.

Swachhata Pakhwada - Swachhata Participation Day 07/09/19

Once again students put up their best efforts at making the message of

'Clean India' more effective by beginning with a thorough cleanliness

drive in their respective classrooms. Their enthusiasm is to be seen to be

believed. Our Sports Educator - Mr. Lokesh conducted this activity with

students of Grade IX.

Swachhata Pakhwada - Hand wash Day and Personal Hygiene Day 08/09/19

Ms. Gayatri the School Nurse apprised the Junior Wing Students - Our

Little Ivyians on the importance of good hygiene and the correct

technique of washing hands.

Swachhata Pakhwada - Swachhata Action Day 12/09/19

A rally highlighting the message of 'Swachh Bharat' was organised in

the neighbourhood of our school. Students undertook the campaign with

great zeal and enthusiasm shouting slogans and holding placards.

Swachhata Pakhwada - Swachhata Hi Seva Day 11/09/19

Mr. Umesh Kumar - H.O.D. Hindi conducted this activity. Students

were made aware of the types of waste and how to segregate household

waste and mark dustbins accordingly. The same activity was conducted

in school to demonstrate to the Little Ivyians.

Swachhata Pakhwada - Swachhata School Exhibition Day 12/09/19

Once again Little Ivyians came forward to exhibit their slogans, posters

and banners which they diligently prepared in their art classes to spread

across the message of 'Swachh Bharat.' Their efforts were appreciated

by the School Principal Mrs. S. Chauhan. Educators from the

Performing Arts and Art and Craft Department of the School

wholeheartedly supported the cause.

Swachhata Pakhwada - Swachhata Letter Writing Day 13/09/19

Ms. Navleen Kooner (Staff Secretary and H.O.D. Social Science)

conducted this activity with students of Grade 10. Students were given

the themes beforehand so as to enable them to prepare well for the

activity.
