“My preoccupation is not with good or evil, nor with justice, freedom, etcetera. Quite the con-

trary, my preoccupation solely belongs to me and this is not something general that belongs to

everyone. It’s a unique thing. Just like I am unique. To me there is nothing bigger than myself”*.

The paintings of Hadi Alijani not only depict his biography, but also they point to the fact that they

often re-create the face of a painter. Although satire and tomfoolery have an important place in

his works, still they are a type of painful paintings with fictional characteristics. While expressing

thoughts and conditions that he deems necessary, Alijani distorts the nature of what is observed.

In the works of Alijani human beings are the measure and scale of everything and this belief

leads to the formation of the concept of individuality and personal attitudes. Therefore, his paint-

ings are used as tools to stress the uniqueness of the artists’ individual personality. There is no

such thing as graciousness and masterful humility in his works and the naked faces of shapes,

suddenly jump out of his paintings through complex, complicated and injured turbulence. They

stare at the viewer right in the face, mesmerizing them.

" دملشغولی من نه خیر، نه شر، عدالت ، آزادی و غیره، بلکه دملشغولی من تنها چیزی است که مال من باشد

و این یک چیز کلی و متعلق به همه نیست بلکه امری یکتا و یگانه است. همانطور که من یکتا و یگانه ام. برای

من هیچ چیز از خودم بیشتر نیست."*

نقاشی های هادی علیجانی نه تنها زیست نامه ی خود اوست ، بلکه به این حقیقت اشاره دارند که آن ها اغلب

چهره ی فردی نقاش را از نو می آفرینند. هر چند که در کار های او طنز و شیطنت نقش مهمی دارند اما آن ها

نوعی از نقاشی دردناک هستند که ماهیتی خیالی دارند. علیجانی در راستای بیان اندیشه و حالتی که ضروری

می داند، به دخل و تصرف در طبیعِت آنچه که ممکن است دیده شود، می پردازد.

در کارهای علیجانی انسان معیار و تراز همه چیز است و این اعتقاد منجر به شکل گیری مفهوم فردیت و

خلق و خویی شخصی می شود. در نتیجه نقاشی های او وسیله ای هستند جهت تاکید بر بی همتایی شخصیت

فردی هنرمندش. در کارهای او خبری از صالبت تعارفی و خویشنت داری استادمآبانه نیست و چهره ی بی نقاِب

فرم ها، ناگاه با تالطمی بغرجن، پیچیده و مجروح از تابلوها بیرون می جهد و عریان پیش رو می ایستد تا مخاطب

را در حالتی از بهت و هذیان فرو برد.
