Editions & Impressions du Pacifique (EIP), a full service printer fulfilling the printing needs of the remote islands of New Caledonia, has been reaping the many benefits of the IOC system since early 2014.
A client presented EIP with a three panel promotional project that required an intricate die cut of a shell on the front panel and two scores for folding.
After contacting the steal rule supplier, EIP learned the design was too intricate to be die cut with a steal rule die. To keep from turning down the project or outsourcing the finishing, EIP reached out to H.S. Boyd to get a free project evaluation and quote.
Within a couple of days, an IOC die was in production that would be used to die cut the shell and score the multi-panel promotional piece on a Heidelberg MO printing press.
