    Wednesday 17thApr,A tour of the Sacred Valley, visiting the market town of Pisac and its archaeological complex and finishingwith a visit to the ancient town of Ollantaytambo and the temple fortress that overhangs the town.Inca trail hikers and people for Mapi day trip stay overnight in Ollantaytambo!!!.(homestay)

    Tuesday 23rdApr,Leaving Cusco behind, we take an 7 hour bus ride through the Andes to Puno on the shores of LakeTiticaca. At 3855 meters above sea level, Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world.Tour ends for Nelson and Krista

    Wednesday 24thApr.& Thursday 25thApr.

    Today its out onto the lake to visit the floating reed islands of the Uros, then onto Amantani island, wherewe stay overnight with local families. The following day we continue our tour, heading over to Taquile Island,famous for its distinctive hats knitted by the men of the island. Returning to Puno around 4pm.

    Friday 26thApr,Anne, Elise, Simon, Richard, Jan, Jeffrey, Colleen & Peter will fly back to LimaSara, Renate, Timothy and Michaelwill continue around the shores of lake Titicaca, making their way to LaPaz (3600m) the highest capital city in the world, stopping for lunch and to change busses in Copacabana.

    Nancy, Cheryl, Victoria, Matthew, Terence, Adele will take a bus to Arequipa (2330m), The White City,gives you only a small amount of time to explore this amazing city. Situated at the foot of El Misti Volcano,

    Arequipa is one of the most picturesque cities in South America. Here you can visit the Santa CatalinaConvent with its cobbled streets, cloisters and decorative building this is an opportunity not to be missed.

    As well as visit the Santuarios Andinos Museum, where you can see the Ice Mummy Juanita, a 12-14 yearold girl who was sacrificed at the top of a nearby volcano.

    Saturday 27thApr,We continue our journey through the barren Andean landscape on our way to the Colca Canyon. Twice asdeep as the Grand Canyon, the Colca Canyon is the 2nddeepest canyon in the World. After long day on theroad, a visit to the local hot springs (optional) is the perfect way to relax.

    Sunday 28thApr,An early morning start sees us head out to the Cruz del Condor lookout point, where you can take in theamazing views as condors soar overhead. Then its back to Arequipa in the afternoon

    Monday 29thApr,Free day in Arequipa to explore. Night bus to Nazca

    Tuesday 30thApr,In Nazca you have the opportunity to take a flight over the mysterious Nazca lines As well as an optionaltour of Chauchilla Cemetery, where can see the incredible well preserved ancient mummies.

    Wednesday 01stMay.Northward, we head out into the desert to visit the oasis of Huacachina for lunch and some sand board anddune buggy fun. We then continue our way up the Peruvian coast off to the old port town of Pisco. Thenamesake of the Peruvian national drink, Pisco was originally a wine growing area.

    Thursday 02ndMayStarting out at 7:20am for this the last travel day of the tour. Our first stop is the Paracas National Reserve

    for a tour of the Ballestas Islands, also known as The Peruvian Galapagos, to see the amazing array ofwildlife that inhabit them. Then it is onto Lima, the City of Kings, once capital of the Spanish Empire of South

    America.

    Friday 03rdMayTour ends.

    Please note that sometimes things do not go according to plan in Latin America, whether to do withthe political situation, the mood of someone is particular or the weather . . . . . however we wil try tostick to the itinerary as closely as possible ! ! !Enjoy the journey! ! and dont forget your patience, positive attitude and sense of adventure.
