When Will The Workshop Start? The workshop will start Monday, October 21, 2019 at 9:30 am, What Kind of Lodging Is Available? There are a number of hotels, including the Jekyll Island Club Resort as well as vacation rentals available via airbnb.com and vrbo.com. You are advised to book a place on the island. We will be meeting daily at The Cottages at 200 Turtle Track Lane. If you are interested in rooming with someone and/or sharing rental car fees, please let me know and I will put together a list of everyone with a similar interest.Where Will The Workshop Be Held? Space has been reserved at The Cottages, 200 Turtle Track Lane, for us to meet to work on our sketchbooks and for demonstrations. There may be days when you will be asked to meet at the location where we will be sketching. Directions and information will be provided as needed. When Will The Workshop End? Friday, October 25th, after lunch.What Happens If I Am Late To The Workshop Or The Location We Are Meeting At? Out of consideration for the other participants, the workshop will continue as scheduled and it will be your responsibility to catch up with the group and/or the group’s activity. If you are going to be more than fifteen minutes late, please send Laure a text message to let her know. Her number will be given to you once you are registered.What Is The Closest Airport to Jekyll Island?  The nearest airport is Brunswick’s Golden Isles Airport (BQK). Brunswick is about thirty minutes from Jekyll Island. Daily flights from Atlanta via Delta Airlines are available as well as rental cars. Other airports include Savannah (SAV) and Jacksonville (JAX). Both are about an hour’s drive to Jekyll Island. Jacksonville is an international airport and may provide you with more carrier options. Can I Share A Room/Rental With Someone? Each person is responsible for their own lodging arrangements, but if you are interested in rooming with someone, please indicate this on the registration form and you will be put in touch with others looking for a roomie. Can I Bring Someone With Me Who Is NOT Attending The Workshop? Yes, but this person will not be allowed to attend the workshop or any of the demonstrations at the locations we will be visiting. Many of our visits have to be scheduled in advance and tickets may not be available at a later date. However, there are plenty of activities on the island as well as along the coast that would make it easy for someone to entertain themselves. Fishing, golf, snorkeling, diving, and other activities are available. Will I Need A Car?Yes, unless you are planning to arrive with someone else, a rental car will be necessary to get around the island. How Much Does It Cost To Enter The Island?  There is an Access Fee of $6.00/day or $28.00 for a seven day pass for each vehicle.How Many People Will Be Attending The Workshop? A minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 12 plus myself and my first mate. What Is The Weather Like On Jekyll Island in October? The highs are typically in the mid 70s with the mornings starting out in the low 60s. Due to the changeability of Georgia’s weather, please watch the weather forecast for a better idea of what to expect for the week of the workshop.Will There Be A Lot Of Walking Or Physical Activity On This Tour? Yes. We’ll be walking on the beach, on sidewalks, possibly climbing on and off public transportation as well as stairs. Inclement Weather We will do our best to work around any inclement weather by adjusting the day’s activities, but it is still possible that not all activities will happen as scheduled. No refunds will be given for any activities not participated in or for any inclement weather cancellations regardless of whether you are a painter or a non-painting participant. Photographs Please be aware that promotional photographs will be taken throughout our workshop. By agreeing to the terms and conditions set forth in this Registration Form, you release all copyright of said photos and acknowledge that your photo may be taken and shared on social media as well as in print for the promotion of future workshops by ImaginaryTrips.com LLC, Painted Travels and Laure Ferlita. You release Laure Ferlita, Painted Travels and ImaginaryTrips.com LLC from all liability from the use and publication of these photos.

Workshop Fee The price of the 5-day workshop is $440. This price includes instruction both in a classroom setting and demonstrations on location with Laure as well as guidance to various locations around the island and in the area for sketching purposes.

Registration Payment Schedule The fee of $440 is required at the time of registration. The fee includes a $25 Non-Refundable Service Fee. The full workshop fee is due at the time of registration. Spaces will be given on a first come, first serve basis and will be limited to 16 participants.

Cancellation Policy We need a minimum of 10 participants by August 1st for this class to happen. Please wait until you have received an email from us that this class is a definite go BEFORE purchasing airfare or incurring other travel expenses. It is strongly recommended that you purchase full cancellation insurance for airfare, class costs and luggage replacement, as life does have a way of happening and may require you to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. There are a number of web-based travel insurance services or your travel agent may be able to make a recommendation.

After reading all pages of the registration form, please print and fill out. Please mail the Registration Form, (Pages 5, 6 and 7) along with your check to Laure at the address on the bottom of Page 6.

Cancellation Policy continued If you need to cancel, please let us know immediately by phone (813) 704.0712. We also need your cancellation in writing. Please email the cancellation to: info @ imaginarytrips.com.

Please Note: All deadlines and refund polices are determined by the requirements of the locations we visit. Many venues must be booked in advance. Cancellations And Refunds Cancellation By Us: All monies will be refunded the first week of September, 2019. We do reserve the right to cancel this workshop at any time. Under these circumstances, all monies will be refunded minus the $25 Service Fee. Once the class is committed to going, we will make every effort to make any alternate and comparable arrangements if necessary in order that the class may continue.

Cancellation By Storm: Should a hurricane damage Jekyll Island before the workshop dates to the point that it is not possible to hold the workshop or should one threaten the Eastern Seaboard at the time of the scheduled workshop forcing the closure of the Jekyll Island, workshop fees will be refunded minus any workshop-related expenses including activity, event and tour tickets purchased in advance.

Cancellation by You: No refunds (with two exceptions) will be made due to the quickly approaching dates of the workshop. 1st Exception: If the workshop is full or there is a waiting list, every effort will be made to find someone to take your place. In this situation only, a refund will be given minus the $25 Service Fee. The Refund Policy is strict because we must pay for all activities and some tickets in advance. Your cancellation forfeits all deposits and payments. 2nd Exception: If you find someone to take your place, a refund will be given minus the $25 Service Fee, once the new participant’s signed registration form and fee have been received.

Your registration denotes full acceptance of all Policies, including permission to use any photos taken during the workshop that may contain images of you and/or your work, comments made about the class and may include your contact information. The Class List is distributed to the host, your instructor, and possibly, other students.

I fully recognize that there are dangers and risks to which I may be exposed by participating in Painted Travels’ Jekyll Island: An Artist’s Sketching Holiday, (hereinafter referred to as the event and its activities) during the dates of Monday, October 21st through Friday, October 25th, 2019.

I acknowledge and understand that I choose to participate in this activity of my own free will, and I want to do so despite the possible dangers and risks and despite this Release.

Therefore, I agree to assume and take upon myself, any and all of the risks and responsibilities in any way associated with this event and its activities. In consideration of and return for the services, facilities, and other assistance provided to me by ImaginaryTrips.com LLC, its employees and agents, in this event and its activities, I release the Company from any and all liability, claims and actions that may arise from injury or harm to me, including death, or from damage to my property in connection with this event and activities. I understand that this Release covers liability, claims and actions caused entirely or in part by any acts or failures to act on my part, including but not limited to negligence, mistake, or failure to supervise.

I agree that ImaginaryTrips.com, LLC has the right to make such alterations to the published itinerary as may be deemed necessary, that the Company also reserves the right to cancel any program prior to departure, in which case the entire payment will be refunded without further obligation on the Company’s part, and that the Company also reserves the right to decline, to accept or retain any person as a member of the program.

I acknowledge and agree that no refund will be made for the unused portion of any tour, and that baggage is carried at my own risk entirely.

I acknowledge and agree that pricing for this event and activities is based on rates in effect as of May 2019 and is subject to change without notice to reflect fluctuations in exchange rates, tariffs, or fuel charges.
