DEQUEST® FS 9513 can improve the Peroxide beaching
ecienc and Oxgen deignication of chemica pup.
Addition of ow amounts of DEQUEST® F 9513 during the
beaching step can increase the na brightness resuts of
the pup, increase the residua Peroxide eves and remove
detrimenta metas (Fe, Mn, Cu).
DEQUEST® FS 9513 is a high eective “threshod” scae
inhibitor for various minera deposits such as siica, barium
suphate and cacium carbonate scae.
This “threshod eect” is the prevention of precipitation
from supersaturated soutions of scaing ions b ppm
eves of inhibitor.
DEQUEST® FS 9513 is miscibe with water in a proportions.
Application and dosage level
The dosage eve reuired during Peroxide beaching is in
the order of 0.05 to 0.5 wt % per ton dried pulp, but is
ver much dependent on the uait of the pup, the meta
content and the beaching conditions. Dose eve
recommendations are avaiabe on reuest.
DEQUEST® FS 9513 is a neutralised aqueous solution of
phosphonic acids. Suitable materials of construction for
dosing equipment include PVC, Polypropylene, HDPE and high
grade stainless steels. More detailed recommendations are
available upon request.

DEQUEST® FS 9513 sow biodegrades in the environment
and has a ow toxicit.
DEQUEST® FS 9513 can ecient be removed in a sewage
treatment. Remova rates of 85% and higher have been
reported(1). More detaied information is avaiabe upon
reuest.
Health and safety
Based on Italmatch Chemicals S.p.A.’s studies, DEQUEST®
FS 9513 phosphonate is not cassied as dangerous.

General Product Information
DEQUEST® FS 9513 phosphonate is an excellent stabiliser for oxidative alkaline
bleaching steps and reductive bleaching steps of various types of pulp. It has shown to
be particularly eective improving the peroxide bleaching eciency of chemical pulp.
DEQUEST® FS 9513 phosphonate has a dua functionait for the Pup & Paper
process as it can aso eective contro siicate, barium suphate and cacium
carbonate scae in various conditions.
DEQUEST® FS 9513 is designed to be stabe under aaine and high temperature
conditions applicable in pulp bleaching.
