It seems sometimes the world is made up of two kinds of people: Those who work hard for a living, trying to earn a better life, and those who sit back and let life happen, expecting good things to fall into their laps. Each side will vehemently defend the virtues of their own attitude, and simultaneously point the finger of shame at their opposites . Which group is right in God's eyes, you might understandably wonder?

Neither or perhaps both. As with so many subjects, scripture poses a little paradox. God tells us that to be overly do not & worried about having enough afraide ~ food and clothing shows a lack of trust in Him. Score one for the "sit back and be" group. God also tells us a lazy servant will not be recognized or rewarded by his Master. That's a point for the hard­working side. To find God's truth you need to merge the viewpoints . We are to work as hard as possible both to provide for our families and also to serve God, but leave the worries up to Him.

We must trust that the work of our hands will not go unblessed by God . It's that simple. Let's pray to find that balance this week : Work hard, don't worry, and relax in faith when the work is done. + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +
