Observation of Swachh Bharat Campaign It is a great pleasure that our HoŶ’ďle Priŵe MiŶister “hri NareŶdra Modi had takeŶ a Đall for “ǁaĐhh Bharat as a ŵass ŵoǀeŵeŶt to realize GaŶdhiji’s dream of a clean India by the 150 th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in 2019. In order to bring mass awareness and a lasting behavioural change to achieve the goal, he desired to have a nation-wide campaign to be oraganized with the participation of all sections of society. Accordingly, all the Public Authorities were requested to administer the pledge on Swachh Bharat on 2 nd October 2014 and cleanliness drive thereafter. We, being the Public Aithority, all our senior executives and other officials of this Corporation assembled in respective places of the mills and Coporate Headquarters to administer the Swachh pledge in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali and Malyalam on 2 nd October 2014. After pledge taking ceremony, the officials engaged themselves for cleaning the areas of inside and outside the mill premises, Townships, Company Hospitals etc. Shri M.V. Narasimha Rao, Chairman-cum- Managing Director, other Directors and Managing Directors, Chief Executives of the mills were present in their respective units and encouraged all the participants to keep clean their work place and other areas of the plant and office on regular basis. They have also inspired the employees to join the Mission wholeheartedly. The mission ended with officials re-iterating their desire to carry out such drives for at least 2 hours in a week. Apart from employees, the members of the family of the employees and local residents were inspired by the movement carried out by our organization. A brief synopsis alongwith photograph taken at respective mills of this Corporation and Corporate Headquarters displayed here.
